FanDuel DFS Guards

Isaiah Thomas (at NO, $7,800)

Isaiah Thomas looked great in his last two games, and he should continue to play well tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans are one of the worst teams in the league at defending opposing point guards, and Thomas is a very effective scorer. In his last game against the San Antonio Spurs, he scored 23 points, assisted the ball 8 times, and grabbed 4 rebounds. This totaled 41.8 fantasy points. The game prior to that, Thomas played even better, scoring 48.7 fantasy points. While he is a bit of a risk, Thomas gets a good enough matchup that he can be used in 50/50 contests tonight. Do not use him in 50/50 contests often, but tonight is definitely an exception.

Tyreke Evans (vs BOS, $7,500)

Tyreke Evans took little time getting adjusted to the NBA after returning from injury earlier this season. He has played in three games now, and he scored over 30 fantasy points in all three of those games. In his first game back against the Memphis Grizzlies, Evans showed his tremendous upside, scoring 20 points, dishing out 10 assists, and grabbing 5 rebounds. He scored 42 fantasy points on the first game he played this season. He will continue to play 30 plus minutes tonight, and he should continue to score 30 plus fantasy points tonight. The Celtics rarely play defense against the guard positions, so use Evans in any format.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Nicolas Batum (vs DET, $7,300)

Nicolas Batum is one of the best and most consistent small forwards in the league. In his last game against the Chicago Bulls, he scored 24 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and assisted the ball five times. This totaled 43.7 fantasy points. He should see similar numbers tonight against the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons are one of the worst teams in the league against the small forward position, and Batum is going to take advantage of that. Despite a couple of poor performances in his last 10 games, Batum is usually rather consistent, so he can definitely be used in 50/50 contests tonight. This game should stay close, so Batum should see around 35 minutes tonight. He is a dangerous scorer with the ability to fill the stat sheet.

Kristaps Porzingis (vs DAL, $7,100)

Kristaps Porzingis got into foul trouble in his last game against the Milwaukee Bucks and only played 22 minutes. This resulted in a 16.9 fantasy point night for the New York Knicks' beloved rookie. However, this is unlikely to happen again. Porzingis has huge upside, and he is actually rather consistent. It is likely that he scores over 30 fantasy points tonight, and he has the ability to score 50 plus if Carmelo Anthony is not shooting well. The Dallas Mavericks are not going to be able to contain the Knicks' power forward, and he should easily pick up the double-double, as he can definitely out rebound Dirk Nowitzki. Use Porzingis in both tournaments and 50/50 contests tonight.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns (vs LAC, $6,900)

In his last game against the Portland Trailblazers, Karl-Anthony Towns absolutely dominated the glass and scored at will. With 27 points and 12 rebounds, he totaled 45.4 fantasy points, which is incredible considering his price tag. He is a very inconsistent player, but he is well worth his salary in tournaments. He has over 40 fantasy points in two of his last 10 games, and he also has over 30 fantasy points in three other games. 30 fantasy points is all he needs to hit value, so he has about a 50 percent chance of hitting value with a 25 percent chance of crushing value. That sounds great to me. Avoid him entirely in 50/50 contests.

Second-Half Improvements: Buy Into These Starting Pitchers

The second half of the season is always put under a microscope for starting pitchers. Fantasy players have a love for the second half of the season, as the belief is that pitchers who take a step forward could carry over that success the next season and perhaps even build upon it. But, as we... Read More

How to Attack RP in SV+HLD Leagues

No position has seen as much evolution in recent seasons as the relief pitcher. Gone are the days where starters were expected to go seven innings as most teams have embraced the idea of "super-bullpening" and try to fit as many pitchers that can throw 95+ MPH into their bullpen as they can. Many fantasy... Read More

Using Sabermetrics for Fantasy Baseball: Pitch Info

One of the most fundamental questions in fantasy sports is if a player's current performance is sustainable. More than any other sport, baseball has a slew of statistical measures that can be dissected in numerous ways to analyze player performance. Pitch Info is a publicly-available pitch tracking system that provides a lot of different data to... Read More

James Karinchak Is A Relief Pitcher To Know in 2020

One of the lesser-known players that intrigues me for the 2020 MLB season is Indians relief pitcher James Karinchak. The former Bryant Bulldog was drafted by Cleveland in the ninth round in the 2017 draft and went on to have one of the most outrageous statistical seasons in minor league baseball history. As someone who... Read More

2020 Relief Pitcher Rankings - H2H Points Leagues

Often regarded as an inferior fantasy baseball format, points leagues offer a different style of boasting over your friends or coworkers similar to that of fantasy football. These setups are typically head-to-head formats for a one-week stretch where the player with the most points gets a win. Easy right? While it's true that roster construction... Read More

Using Sabermetrics for Fantasy Baseball: Pitcher BABIP

While FIP is a useful tool to predict a pitcher's future ERA performance, fantasy owners should remember that ERA, not FIP, is what really matters in most formats. 2020 Shortstop Rankings - H2H Points Leagues

Points leagues may seem like a slight variation from traditional 5x5 category scoring leagues but you must approach draft day with a different strategy if you wish to truly compete. 2020 Fantasy Baseball Sleepers – Victor Reyes

With a 457 ADP in 2020 NFBC leagues, Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes is an afterthought in all but the deepest leagues.  Perhaps the 25-year-old shouldn't be, though, as Reyes was quietly solid in 2019, slashing .304/.336/.431 in 292 plate-appearances, with three home runs and nine stolen bases. Having made stops in Arizona and the... Read More
