Recent Update

2 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez (shoulder) is on track to resume throwing in the next few days, but the team doesn't anticipate him being ready for Opening Day. An MRI exam showed no structural damage in his right shoulder, and he received a platelet-rich plasma injection to slow his inflammation. Martinez dealt with arm injuries last year that sent him to the disabled list multiple times, so it's definitely not a good sign that he's still having shoulder issues in 2019. The right-hander is still worth a late-round pick in mixed leagues, but his stock is certainly trending downward during draft season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
