8/30:The Milwaukee Brewers optioned starting pitcher Freddy Peralta to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday. Pitchers Jacob Barnes and Aaron Brooks were also called up from Colorado Springs. Peralta allowed five earned runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Reds on Wednesday, and he's struggled in five starts in August with a 5.81 ERA. Overall, though, the rookie right-hander has been pretty good for the Brewers and has gone 6-4 with a 4.40 ERA in 14 starts. He should be back up in September and should make additional starts down the stretch.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
