Recent Update

6 months agoThe Atlanta Braves have dipped into their farm system for pitching yet again, calling up Patrick Weigel and Wes Parsons from Triple-A on Friday. Parsons was with the Braves for the first two months of the year before being sent down. He has a 2.08 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 21 relief appearances at Triple-A this year. Weigel, meanwhile, has yet to pitch in the majors. He has compiled a 3-2 record with a 2.98 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 52 strikeouts with 33 walks across 60.1 innings (18 appearances, 17 starts) in Double-A and Triple-A this year. Weigel could be worth watching as he's a candidate to earn an opportunity in the rotation in the next week or so.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
