Recent Update

1/25:Top Milwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Lewis Brinson will go to the Miami Marlins in a deal sending Christian Yelich to Milwaukee. Shortstop prospect Isan Diaz, outfield prospect Monte Harrison and pitching prospect Jordan Yamamoto will go to Miami as well in the deal. Brinson and Harrison were each among the top five prospects for the Brewers leading into 2018, and Diaz was the key piece that the Brewers received in the deal that sent Jean Segura to Arizona. Yamamoto is coming off of a 2017 season with High-A Carolina where he had a 2.51 ERA in 111 innings. Brinson is the key piece to this trade and could even start for the Marlins in 2018, likely taking Yelich's spot in center field. He was only 5-for-47 with the Brewers in 2017 but had a .962 OPS in 77 games with Triple-A Colorado Springs, hitting 13 home runs and stealing 11 bases.--Chris Zolli - RotoBaller
