3 weeks agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to a two-year, $13.4 million extension with infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor on Friday, according to a source. The deal buys out the final two years of Taylor's arbitration years. He was seeking $5.8 million in salary arbitration for the 2020 season. Instead, he will make $5.6 million this season and $7.8 million in 2021. The 29-year-old hit .262/.333/.462 with 12 home runs, 52 RBI and eight steals in 124 games for the Dodgers last year. Taylor struck out a league-high 178 times in 2018 and hasn't been nearly as good as he was in 2017 when he hit a career-high 21 homers and stole 17 bases. He should once again move around the diamond in 2020 and could see more outfield time with the team expected to move Joc Pederson and Alex Verdugo in trades. He's most attractive to those in deep mixed and NL-only leagues because of his position versatility.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
