Recent Update

2 weeks agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Hector Velazquez threw five innings, allowing two runs, on just two hits, while fanning three, and walking two in an 11-2 win over Seattle Sunday. It was a spot start for Velazquez and he did his job. It helped that Sox offense churned out four runs through his first two innings, allowing the 30-year-old to work efficiently through the outing. He's started six games this year, but Sunday's five innings was his longest start of the season. Velazquez could have one more chance to start before David Price returns to the rotation, but he isn't fantasy relevant due to his low strikeout totals and lack of depth in his starts.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
