Recent Update

7/21:Aside from perennially-productive Justin Upton, there has been no hotter hitter as of late for the Detroit Tigers than outfielder Mikie Mahtook. Since the break, Mahtook is hitting .400 with two doubles and two homers across 20 at-bats. Manager Brad Ausmus has responded to the hot streak by moving Mahtook up to the fifth slot in the lineup. Fantasy owners looking for a short-term boost or for a hot hand in DFS leagues should look to Mahtook, but he's still not recommended for long-term fantasy purposes, despite his potential increase in playing time following the J.D. Martinez trade.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller

  • @beckjason: Mahtook: "I don't think people are quitting. It's just one of those things where you want to play the game hard and the right way."
  • @beckjason: Mahtook: "Mistakes are gonna happen. You're going to make mistakes. Youre going to run into outs. But it's not continually do those things."
