Recent Update

8/3:The Milwaukee Brewers made a pair of moves Wednesday. They will activate starting pitcher Matt Garza (leg) to start Thursday versus St Louis. To make room, they sent down pitcher Wei-Chung Wang to Triple-A. Wang was brought up to help out the bullpen and still is not fantasy relevant in most leagues. Garza has a 3.83 ERA in 15 starts this season. He should be owned in deep leagues. Garza will face a mediocre Cardinals offense so there is some minor DFS appeal if he can go deep in the game.--Jamie Mellor - RotoBaller

  • @Haudricourt: CC says he will flip starting pitchers in Colorado, with Garza pitching first, then Woodruff. Has to do with matchups down the road.
    Posted 1 day ago
  • @AdamMcCalvy: Craig Counsell confirms Chase Anderson's next start will be in the bigs. Brewers will go Woodruff, Garza, Anderson at Colorado.
  • @Todd_Rosiak: Final line on Garza: 5 1/3 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 5 BB, 2 K, 1 HR, 96 pitches.
  • @Todd_Rosiak: And now that runner scores as Tucker Barnhart singles to CF. It’s 7-4, and that’ll be all for Garza with Zack Cozart coming up.
  • @Todd_Rosiak: Garza issues a two-out walk to Joey Votto in the fifth but then gets Duvall to fly out.
  • @Todd_Rosiak: A strikeout and groundout allows Garza to escape with the lead still intact at 3-2.
