Recent Update

8/31:Injuries once again dominate the day’s storylines for the New York Mets. After announcing that Neil Walker was dealing with a back injury that wouldn’t allow him to play more than four days consecutively, the club announced today that the second baseman is dealing with a herniated disk. Surprisingly, however, general manager Sandy Alderson admitted that Walker will be able to play through the injury. In other news, Steven Matz will seek a second opinion as he struggles to return from an ongoing shoulder ailment. While many have speculated that he could be shut down, the Mets made it clear that those plans aren’t currently on the table.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
