MLB Lineups Advice for Daily Fantasy Baseball (Fanduel) - September 18, 2013

MLB daily lineups and expert picks for Fanduel and daily fantasy baseball leagues. Read our daily analysis and win your Fanduel daily leagues!

With the season winding down 🙁 some teams are just giving up and some are fighting for their lives. Though anything can happen in this game, the probability of an ace pitching deeper into a game or a hitter giving it his all is obviously greater in a team that has fight. We oddly have a full schedule (almost) of night games, but we're going to totally ignore 75% of the games on the schedule in favor of the aforementioned teams with fight.

Picks to Click for September 18, 2013:

Justin Verlander on May 20, 2008SP Justin Verlander - He went seven strong innings versus Seattle last time out, and registered 12 K. Though they have wrapped up a playoff spot, the Tigers still have a shot for the best record in baseball, and after having a down year, Verlander is preparing for a deep playoff run.

1B Jason Giambi - Could this be it?? Could the Indians finally make the playoffs for the first time since Wild Thing Vaughn led them there?  I don't know, but the Indians' grizzled veteran has some off-the-charts BvP stats versus Chen.

2B Dustin Pedroia - He's peaking at the right time for a surging Boston team.

3B Evan Longoria - By now, you know to get Longoria into your lineups when he faces a lefty.  The icing on the cake is that the Rays are fighting, the Rangers are reeling, and the BvP numbers are off the charts.

SS Adrubal Cabrera - I expect the Indians to score a bunch of runs off Chen today, and Cabrera is near the price minimum. For a SS hitting near the middle of the order, I see him easily returning value far in excess of his price tag.

OF Michael Brantley - Lefty on lefty, but who cares?  Chen isn't going to be in this game long anyways, but Brantley is nevertheless 9-for-17 off of him... That's a .529 average, so get him in your lineup.
