MLB Lineups Advice for Daily Fantasy Baseball (Fanduel) – July 27, 2013

MLB daily lineups and expert picks for Fanduel and daily fantasy baseball leagues. Read our daily analysis and win your Fanduel daily leagues!

Here are some of my favorite fantasy baseball daily league picks, for daily sites like Fanduel.  I will only be picking from tonight's slate of MLB late games.  As always, check weather and lineups before first pitch!  Good luck RotoBallers!

Starting Pitchers

Madison Bumgarner - A good play tonight vs a mediocre Cubs offense.  The xFIP checks in at 3.40. The K% is a respectable 24.7%. The GB% is down about 4% from last year at 43.7% for the season, but the Giants home park neutralizes fly balls.

Charlie Morton - Another guy with a shiny ERA compared to his peripherals. His FIP is 4.77 and xFIP is 3.97.  His GB% for the season is very high at 62.6% on the season while the HR/FB% is high as well at 20%. There should be value on his price tag on most daily sites as a match up against the Marlins is very appetizing.

Catchers

AJ Pierzynski - 14-33 with 4 doubles off Masterson. Mentioned it plenty of times that Masterson in his career struggles vs lefties but has done a better job this season.

Salvador Perez - 8/22 off Sale with 3 doubles. Batting cleanup today, too.

First Baseman

Mike Napoli - 11-23 with 2 homers off Feldman. Priced high on some sites and still some value on others.

Adam Dunn - Wade Davis has been struggling all year in limiting base runners, with a WHIP of 1.81 on the season. Personally, I think he is a much better pitcher than this - but also think he needs to work out of the bullpen as a long reliever to refine his pitches.  Only $3,300 on Fanduel and always capable of hitting homers

Second Baseman

Skip Schumaker - 18-48 with 2 doubles off Arroyo. Should be cheap on most daily sites.

Rickie Weeks - McHugh has been pretty good at the MILB level but has struggled in the Majors.  Weeks is your typical boom or bust hitter - just hope he doesn't K every at bat.

Third Baseman

Jeff Keppinger - Should be fairly cheap, and I do like a mini stack of White Sox hitters vs Wade Davis.

Michael Young - Decent BvP #'s, 6-18 off Scherzer with a double and 2 triples.

Shortstop

Alcides Escobar - 12-30 off Sale with a double.

Jhonny Peralta - Raul Valdes takes the mound for the for the Phillies, and a mini stack of the Tigers is always good.

Outfielders

Carlos Gonzalez - I know I should not have to recommend his as a good play. Small sample, but 6-9 off Gorzelanny with 2 doubles and a triple.

Andre Ethier - Andre the Giant has been en fuego of late. Very good #'s off Arroyo as he is 10-34 with 3 doubles and a homer.

Carlos Quentin- Q is another hitter who has been hot of late. Skaggs, while a top prospect, is still learning the ropes of MLB.

More Value Plays Christian Yelich, Engel Beltre, Henry Urrutia, Dayan Viciedo

==================

As always, remember to check your MLB daily lineups before they lock and make sure you are doing your own research, too, for optimal performance! The most successful daily leaguers are grinders who are constantly tweaking their lineups as the day goes on and fantasy news gets released. Good luck today, RotoBallers!
