MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/22/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Anthony Santander fantasy baseball rankings waiver wire draft sleepers

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on June 22, 2024. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

The good news is that we have a full day of baseball in front of us. The bad news is that both sites chopped up these slates quite a bit. Thankfully, both elected to have the same main slate with eight games in the middle of the day. I'm not going to complain too much. That gives us a touch more than half the league to choose from. We can work with that!

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Saturday, June 22, 2024, with the slate starting at 4:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Zack Wheeler vs. ARI ($10.1K DraftKings; $10.5K FanDuel)

The fact that Wheeler isn't the most expensive pitcher on FanDuel makes him a fantastic bargain. Yes, he got destroyed by the Orioles the last time out. His ERA rose from 2.16 to 2.84 after that one start. It's hard to do this late in the season. That just highlights what kind of season Wheeler is having. The numbers are still elite.

We can give Wheeler a pass now that we've covered that the Orioles are hitting everyone (which takes me off of Ronel Blanco today). Wheeler still boasts a 1.71 ERA in eight home starts. The Statcast page supports his elite numbers thanks to his low exit velocity (86.2 mph) and a low hard-hit percentage (33.3). Elite numbers against an average offense usually turn out well for the elite pitcher.

Logan Gilbert at MIA ($9.2K DraftKings; $10.6K FanDuel)

Gilbert locked down Texas last weekend and gets another weak offense in one of the few ballparks that is an upgrade over his home digs. The Marlins have a miserable .123 ISO against right-handed pitching over the last 30 days. Only Washington is worse. The 24% strikeout rate is plenty high enough for Gilbert to rack up another 8-10 strikeouts today.

Bailey Ober at OAK ($8.4K DraftKings; $9.4K FanDuel)

Ober pitched well against Oakland last weekend at Target Field, picking up 27.5 DraftKings points. Ober's Statcast page still suggests that he has been getting unlucky. The luck is starting to even itself out. The A's are striking out 26.7% of the time against right-handed pitching over the last month. That's the worst mark in the majors. If you don't feel like paying up at pitcher, Ober has a high ceiling today.

Also consider: Corbin Burnes at HOU; Nick Pivetta at CIN; Michael Wacha at TEX

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Royce Lewis – 3B, MIN vs. J.P. Sears ($5.8K DK; $4.5K FD)

His price is going down and Lewis has homered in three straight games. He homered twice against the A's in that series at Target Field. He has 10 homers in 16 games. Barry who? Ride the Rolls Royce until this ridiculous hot streak ends.

Willi Castro – 2B/OF, MIN vs. J.P. Sears ($4.3K DK; $3.1K FD)

Remember all those doubles that I talked about with Willi for Thursday's piece? They're still coming. Castro has 10 hits during his five-game hitting streak. Six of those are doubles and one of those finally cleared the fence last night. The Twins are destroying all comers lately. They will do the same thing to Oakland that they did last weekend. By the way, Castro had 27 DraftKings points in that series.

Ceddanne Rafaela – SS/OF, BOS vs. Frankie Montas ($3.3K DK; $2.8K FD)

Rafaela's four-game multi-hit streak came to an end last night, but I still like the way Boston looked in the loss last night. They were aggressive and they are playing in the most friendly hitter's park east of the Rockies. Rafaela is a good way to get some cheap exposure to Boston. The stolen base upside is just a plus.

Also consider: Gunnar Henderson, Christian Walker, Jeimer Candelario, Willi Castro

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Steven Kwan – OF, CLE vs. Jose Berrios ($5.2K DK; $3.6K FD)

Last night was a streak-buster. Kwan's 15-game hitting streak came to an end, but he still scored a run and drove one in. The strikeouts are way down for Jose Berrios and his numbers over the last few starts show the consequences (nine runs in 17 2/3 innings). Cleveland has scored 32 runs in the last five games and Kwan is leading off in that lineup. There's a lot of value here today despite the lofty price.

Anthony Santander - OF, BAL vs. Ronel Blanco ($4.6K DK; $3.4K FD)

The Orioles are running hot right now and Santader is the poster boy for that. He has six homers and a staggering 14 RBI in the last 10 games. Three of those homers are in the last four games. He has scored a run in seven straight games. No matter what, Santander is going to get you some points!

Will Brennan – OF, CLE vs. Jose Berrios ($3.3K DK; $2.8K FD)

Brennan has four multi-hit games in the last seven. He even had a two-homer game against the Mariners on Thursday. He is quietly moving up the batting order and the struggles of Berrios don't seem to be a fluke. There are a few offenses that are running hot today and I plan on having ample exposure to all of them. Brennan is a cheaper piece even if you don't stack Cleveland to help get the more expensive pieces into your lineup.

Also consider: Jarren Duran, Tyler O'Neill

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Twins vs. J.P. Sears

2. Phillies vs. Tommy Henry

3. Guardians vs. Jose Berrios
