MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/15/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Steven Kwan fantasy baseball rankings draft sleepers waiver wire MLB injury news

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on June 15, 2024. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

DraftKings screwed up the harmony this week in their never-ending pursuit of our almighty dollars. FanDuel did the logical thing: they put all 10 of the afternoon games on the main slate. Simple, right? DraftKings had to go and screw everything up. Their main slate starts at 4:05 Eastern, leaving the three games that start at 2:10 pm Eastern as the early slate.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Saturday, June 15, 2024, with the slate starting at 2:10 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Bailey Ober vs. OAK ($8.5K DraftKings; $8.1K FanDuel)

Ober is off to the worst start of his career, but a quick look at the Statcast page says that he has been getting unlucky this year. His xERA is a much more manageable 3.98, suggesting his actual 5.13 ERA should fall. His luck is bound to turn around at some point.

Ober has been much better at home this season and he welcomes in an Oakland team that has lost 11 of their last 14 games without scoring more than five runs in any of those games. The A's also strike out at a bloated 30% clip against right-handed pitching. If Ober is going to come around at any point this season, it should start today.

Andrew Abbott at MIL ($8.2K DraftKings; $8.4K FanDuel)

The Brewers have struggled against lefties all season (23.3% strikeout rate, .136 ISO, 66 wRC), so any lefty against The Crew is on my watchlist anyway. Aside from a hiccup against the Cardinals at the end of May, Abbot hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start since the end of April. The moral of the story is...don't start Abbott on the 28th of any month. Today is the 15th, so we're good!

Abbott just held the Rockies to three runs in Coors and the Cubs to one run in Cincy -- the two most hitter-friendly parks in the National League. The massive part upgrade in Milwaukee and the struggling team against southpaws in it make Abbott a really nice option.

Joey Estes at MIN ($6.4K DraftKings; $7.5K FanDuel)

Estes doesn't generate a lot of excitement in fantasy circles, but he has only allowed four runs in 16 1/3 innings over his last three starts. The 13 strikeouts leave something to be desired, but it's still a good number for the price. Considering those three starts were against the Padres, Mariners, and Rays, there is a path to relative success for the price in Minneapolis today.

Also consider:  Shota Imanaga vs. STL; Justin Verlander vs. DET; Jack Flaherty at HOU (DK only);

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Royce Lewis – 3B, MIN vs. Joey Estes ($6.2K DK; $4K FD)

You have to wonder where the Twins would be with a healthy Royce Lewis. He is hitting .382 with five homers and eight RBI in 10 games this year. Lewis is currently on a six-game hit streak. Joey Estes can have a productive start and Royce Lewis can still torch him. Both things can be true. After all, Estes only gave up three runs in his last start, but he allowed two homers.

Elly De La Cruz – SS, CIN vs. Bryse Wilson ($5.7K DK; $3.8K FD)

Elly is 2-for-3 with a homer in his only start against Bryse Wilson. We have no reason to think today will be any better for Wilson. Elly still smashes cutters and sinkers, which are Wilson's primary pitches.

Spencer Horwitz – 1B, SF vs. Carlos Carrasco ($3.3K DK; $2.6K FD)

Horwitz has two hits in each of the last three games that he has started (he's only starting against right-handed pitchers). That has already earned him a spot atop the Toronto lineup. Horwitz has responded with a .368 average and a pair of RBI. He doesn't have a ton of power or speed, but Horwitz gets on base a lot in a potent lineup. There's a lot of potential against a struggling Cookie.

Also consider: Pete Alonso, Austin Riley, Ha-Seong Kim

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Marcell Ozuna - OF, ATL vs. Ryan Pepiot ($6.1K DK; $4K FD)

The way Ozuna is hitting will almost make you forget about Ronald Acuna Jr. Almost. Ozuna is hitting .368 with two homers, seven runs, seven RBI, and three doubles over the last 10 games. He's going to add to that today.

What you are looking at there is Ozuna's Statcast page. Pretty good, right? Pepiot throws those two pitches 75.7% of the time. Ozuna is in a smash spot today!

Steven Kwan – OF, CLE vs. Bowden Francis ($4.8K DK; $3.4K FD)

Kwan is on a tear right now, hitting .457 with an absurd 1.215 OPS over his last 10 games. Also, 10 of his 11 hits in that span have gone for extra bases. He has scored 11 runs, stole a base, and driven in five. No wonder Cleveland's offense is finally getting on track! What Kwan has done against four-seamers this year should be illegal. He is hitting .429 off the pitch with a .653 SLG. His next best is against the curve. Francis throws a four-seamer or a curve 81.4% of the time.

Heliot Ramos – OF, SF vs. Patrick Sandoval ($4.2K DK; $3.6K FD)

Five of Ramos' seven homers on the season have come in June. Last night marked his seventh multi-hit game in June. He has 11 RBI in the last 10 games with a 1.219 OPS. As if that isn't enough, Ramos hits lefties even better, if that's at all possible. The DraftKings pricing is slow to catch up. Make sure you take advantage of that!

Also consider: Yordan Alvarez, Starling Marte, Austin Hays
