More than a few fantasy baseball managers found themselves drooling over the Bumgarner vs. Atlanta matchup this afternoon, dreaming of capping off their week with total domination of a weak offense by one of the game's most dominant southpaws. While it wasn't exactly fantasy Armageddon, Bumgarner turned in a solid start: seven innings, three earned runs, two walks, and five strikeouts. The outing actually raised Bumgarner's ERA to 2.49 - a clear indication of the type of season he's turned in. He'll look to continue his success as he takes on a potent Cubs lineup in his next start. Chicago has the most home runs against left-handed pitching this season.
