ANALYSIS: Earlier today the Mets announced that Jose Valverde is being removed from the closers role, after a few brutal outings, and Kyle Farnsworth will be replacing him. This makes Farnsworth a waiver wire pickup, and one of those sleepers who can provide sneaky saves for your team. The Mets aren't as horrible (yet) as many thought they would be, so Farnsworth should get his chances for saves as long as he doesn't falter. Including today's scoreless inning, Farnsworth now owns a 1.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 6 K in 8 1/3 IP. If you were a Valverde owner, or are just looking for saves, add Farnsworth off the waiver wire.
