Keenan Allen Top Landing Spots: Updated 2025 NFL Free Agency Outlook

Keenan Allen - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Which teams are potential landing spots for free agent wide receiver Keenan Allen for fantasy football? Dave breaks down all the top landing spots for Keenan Allen.

The 2025 NFL offseason continues to march forward as free agency enters its second week. Believe it or not, a few well-known veterans remain unsigned.

One such player is former Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen. He did not have his best season in 2024, and the Bears ultimately chose not to re-sign him. Allen turns 33-years-old in April. He’s clearly on the back nine of his career but can still help a receiver-needy team.

There are still plenty of teams who could use a veteran like Allen. The question is where does he want to play and who in turn wants to sign him. Many of the wide receivers who were expected to hit free agency re-signed with their teams. This means the already thin free agent pool is now thinner than originally expected. So Allen should have some suitors lined up. Let’s take a look and examine a few potential landing spots for Keenan Allen.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge #2 is back with a massive $100,000 grand prize and $203,250 total prize pool, paying down to 100th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 8 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 17th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $100,000! New England Patriots

The Patriots still have not adequately addressed the receiver position this offseason. This has been a point of emphasis for new head coach Mike Vrabel. The team made a run at Chris Godwin, but he opted to re-sign with the Buccaneers despite New England offering him more money.

Allen would immediately be the team’s top pass-catcher if he signed with New England. While the Patriots are likely to address receiver in the NFL Draft, Allen would provide young quarterback Drake Maye with a trusted veteran option. Allen was a security blanket for Justin Herbert early in his career and could be the same for Maye.

Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has always carved out a role for slot receivers in his system. Allen profiles best as a slot option at this point in his career and could remain fantasy-relevant if he signs with New England.

Tennessee Titans

Tennessee has an opening at WR2 following the departure of Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to the Miami Dolphins. The team hasn’t addressed the receiver position yet this offseason and Calvin Ridley is really the only good option currently on the roster.

The Titans may also select Cam Ward with the top pick in the NFL Draft. Adding Allen would instantly give the rookie a reliable target. Allen would immediately step in and be the team’s WR2 in this scenario.

However, Tennessee might be waiting to address the position in the NFL Draft, and they might not be too keen on pairing Allen with another aging veteran in Ridley.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers recently restructured Adam Thielen’s contract so he could remain with the team in 2025. However, they are still looking for a true WR1 to pair with quarterback Bryce Young.

Allen doesn’t really profile as a WR1 at this stage of his career, but he would be a welcome addition to Carolina’s wide receiver room. However, there is some overlap between him and Thielen’s game. This could mean it’s unlikely that Allen will wind up signing with Carolina even though it could benefit Young's development.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns quarterback situation is completely up in the air at this point. Whoever winds up as the starter, you can be sure Cleveland wants to surround him with plenty of weapons to help his chances of succeeding.

Travis Hunter could be in play for Cleveland with the second overall pick in the NFL Draft. The Browns reportedly view Hunter as a wide receiver first so he would make for a nice one-two punch with Jerry Jeudy. Allen could then slide in as a reliable WR3 and operate comfortably from the slot.

The Browns could also take a quarterback in the NFL Draft. Allen could then be utilized in a similar role to the one he played for Caleb Williams in Chicago last year.

Signing with Cleveland would make sense from a schematic standpoint. However, it would not be the best landing spot for his fantasy football value.
