Josh Doctson (WR, WSH) - Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 14% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson has been targeted at least five times in four of the last five games. He also caught a touchdown in two of the last three games and has at least three catches in each of the last three games. While these numbers do not seem like much, Doctson's seven targets against the Texans were the second-most on the team behind Jordan Reed.

With Colt McCoy at quarterback, any interest that there was in the Redskins' passing game has seemed to have disappeared. With Adrian Peterson running the ball well, and Jordan Reed looking like a TE1 last week, though, Doctson may have an opportunity to make an impact in the WR core. Jamison Crowder is dealing with an ankle problem, leaving Michael Floyd, Maurice Harris, and Trey Quinn as the other options to catch balls in Washington's WR group. Doctson may not be having a great season (26 receptions for 268 yards), but there are good reasons to add the 25-year-old.

A bad Thanskgiving matchup against the Cowboys, who rank third against fantasy WR, may make some look down on adding Doctson, but there is still value with the redzone target. The Eagles allow the second-most points to fantasy WR and Washington will face the reigning champs in Weeks 13 and 17. They will also face the Titans in Week 16, who allow the fourth-most points to fantasy WR. McCoy at QB is not the best of situations for Doctson, but there is still value in deeper leagues.
