Jeff Green (SF/PF, WSH) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add In 12-Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 22% of leagues

ANALYSIS: Jeff Green's successful scoring to start the season shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Currently scoring 10.4 points per game, Green has failed to average double-digit scoring figures in just two of his twelve years as an NBA player. Now, did anyone expect Jeff Green to rank second on his team in rebounding this season with 5.3 rebounds in 24.5 minutes per game? Maybe not, but that is how things have shaken out on the size-depleted, 5-11 Washington Wizards squad that is third-worst in the NBA with a mere 41.0 rebounds per outing. Even with his floor-time ranking just seventh on the Wizards roster, Green has still made a significant impact for Washington in his given opportunities. He is currently shooting near his career-average from beyond the arc this season at 30.2% on his 2.7 three-point attempts per game, while he is tied for second on the team with Otto Porter in effective field goal percentage at 53.7% (behind only Dwight Howard).

Green is also third on the team with a true-shooting percentage of 60.2% behind only Howard and Thomas Bryant who has played just 32 total minutes to start the season. Not only that, Green is making the most out of all of his chances to score, as demonstrated by the fact that he has sunk 35 of his first 36 free-throw attempts to kick off the campaign for a league-leading success rate of 97.2%. With his efficient scoring and the rebounds the Wizards desperately need him to grab alongside Dwight Howard, Jeff Green is a dual-threat, multi-forward eligible asset that can net value even if his playing time remains static.
