Is Travis Etienne Jr. Injured Or Healthy? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Travis Etienne Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Is Travis Etienne Jr. hurt or healthy? Is Travis Etienne Jr. playing in Week 3 fantasy football or is he injured? Read the latest Week 3 fantasy football injury updates.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. was the 25th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Etienne had an excellent college career, totaling 686 rushing attempts for 4,952 yards and 70 touchdowns in four years at Clemson. He also had 102 receptions for 1,155 yards and eight touchdowns in college.

Unfortunately, the former Clemson star suffered a foot injury during the 2021 preseason, forcing him to miss his rookie year. However, he bounced back last season. Etienne was the RB17, averaging 11 half-point PPR fantasy points. The second-year star had 220 rushing attempts for 1,125 yards and five touchdowns.

Following his top-20 finish in 2022, fantasy players were excited to draft Etienne as their RB2 this year. However, has he been a stud or dud for fantasy players this season?

What Did Travis Etienne Jr. Accomplish In Week 2?

Etienne had an excellent Week 1 performance against the Indianapolis Colts, totaling 18 rushing attempts for 77 yards and a touchdown. He also had five receptions for 27 receiving yards in the game, scoring 18.9 fantasy points.

Unfortunately, the former Clemson star struggled in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Etienne had 12 rushing attempts for 40 yards and two receptions for two receiving yards in the game, scoring 5.2 fantasy points in the loss.

However, fantasy players should feel about Etienne’s fantasy value for the rest of the season. Tank Bigsby played only 19% of the snaps and didn’t touch the ball. Meanwhile, the former Clemson star had a 92% running back rush share in Week 2, one of the highest totals in the NFL.

Is Travis Etienne Jr. Injured Or Healthy?

Etienne briefly left the Week 2 matchup against the Chiefs with cramps. However, the third-year star is off the injury report and ready for this weekend’s matchup against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy players couldn’t be happier to hear that the star running back will be 100% of this week’s matchup. The Texans have played well against the Jaguars, severely slowing down Trevor Lawrence and the passing game. However, they have been terrible at stopping the run.

Houston has surrendered 23.8 fantasy points per game to running backs this season, the eighth-most in the NFL. They have given up four rushing touchdowns to running backs this year. More importantly, Etienne averaged 89.5 rushing yards and 15.7 fantasy points per game against the Texans last season despite averaging only 9.5 rushing attempts per contest.
