After Javonte Williams suffered a torn ACL in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders, the race was on in the fantasy football waiver wire to find which Broncos running back aside from Melvin Gordon was worth picking up in fantasy football.
Mike Boone was listed as the RB3, so he became the hot waiver add, at least in deep leagues. Gordon has dealt with fumbling issues and is banged up regularly as a seasoned veteran, so Boone's stock began to rise. However, the Broncos poached Latavius Murray from the New Orleans Saints practice squad, so he came into play too.
Now, Boone's health is in question heading into Week 8. Is he healthy or injured, and what is the fantasy football fallout?

Is Mike Boone Healthy or Injured?
Boone has been placed on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury, meaning he's out until at least Week 13 since the Broncos are on a Week 9 bye. Fantasy managers can move him to the IR spot on rosters if they have room, but he's droppable if not since he's failed to be productive since Williams went down.
In the deepest of leagues, Marlon Mack might be worth stashing since the Broncos' backfield continues to be decimated by injuries, but he's likely far away from having a significant role.
Should I Start Latavius Murray in Week 8 of Fantasy Football?
In three games played this season (two with Denver), Murray has rushed 34 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns. The 32-year-old running back looks to have more juice than the 29-year-old Gordon and has been a staple on the goal line throughout his career as a 6'3", 230-pound back.
The Broncos are set to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8, who are one of the most fantasy-friendly RB defenses. Russell Wilson (hamstring) should be back in action Sunday morning in London, so the offense should look at least a little bit better than it did with Brett Rypien.
That said, Murray is an intriguing flex option in leagues of all sizes and formats. Gordon can also be started in the flex. Both have decent ceilings but low floors, so go with studs before trusting them. With the scarcity at the running back position, they are fine options, though.
