Is Josh Jacobs Healthy Or Injured? Should I Add Zamir White Off The Waiver Wire?
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has been unstoppable this season. The former first-round pick is in a contract year as the team declined the fifth-year option in his rookie deal in the offseason.
While the Raiders regret their decision, they must be happy with the star running back’s performance this year. The former Alabama star is the RB1 for the year, averaging 20.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Furthermore, the veteran running back has five games with 100 or more rushing yards this season, including in two straight two contests.

Heading into the Week 12 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, Jacobs showed up on the injury report with a calf injury. However, the star running back had 229 rushing yards, a career-high. Furthermore, Jacobs had 303 scrimmage yards, including an 86-yard rushing touchdown to win the game in overtime.
Coming off his historic performance, Jacobs likely won’t practice much, if at all, this week, according to reports. He is still dealing with the calf injury but hopes to be ready to play in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers in an AFC West showdown.
If the superstar running back can’t play, the Raiders will turn to Zamir White and Ameer Abdullah.
Should I Add Zamir White Off The Waiver Wire?
Fantasy players with Jacobs on their roster should make adding White their top waiver claim this week. While he has scored only 4.7 half-point PPR fantasy points this season, the rookie is the only running back on the roster capable of replacing Jacobs.
The veteran Abdullah will handle the passing game work, but White will see most of the ground work. If Jacobs can’t play, White is arguably a top-15 running back against the Los Angeles Chargers. Furthermore, the rookie is a solid DFS value if the star running back can’t play.
Meanwhile, this week's matchup is excellent for whoever starts at running back for Las Vegas. The Chargers have surrendered 25.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game to running backs this season, the fourth-most in the NFL. Furthermore, Los Angeles has given up the third-most rushing yards to running backs this season (1,465), surrendering 125 or more rushing yards to the position in eight of their past nine contests.
Adding White is the top priority for fantasy players with Jacobs on their roster.
