As we approach Week 7 of the fantasy football season, there are plenty of injuries and lineup questions to be answered.
There is also news that is coming out which can impact our decisions as fantasy managers. We've received some rather surprising news about the Baltimore Ravens' backfield this weekend.
Let's take a look at the Ravens' running backs situation, and how things may shake out in Week 7.

Edwards missed all of the 2021 season with a torn ACL. He has been ramping up to return and practicing with the team for the last two weeks.
Should I Pickup Gus Edwards Off the Fantasy Football Waiver Wire?
If Edwards is still available in your fantasy league, be sure to pick him up off the waiver wire asap.
The 27-year-old had been a very effective runner prior to last year's ACL injury. Edwards averaged over five yards per carry across the first three seasons of his career.
With Dobbins now headed to I.R., the Baltimore backfield will likely be handled with a committee approach initially. We can expect Edwards to form a trio with current Ravens' running backs Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill.
Drake is coming off his best performance of the season. He totaled 127 total yards and a score in a Week 6 loss to the New York Giants.
Hill has battled an injury of his own and missed Week 6 with a hamstring issue. However, he is set to return in Week 7 and has looked explosive in his limited 2021 action, averaging over six yards per carry.
Should I Start Gus Edwards for Fantasy Football In Week 7?
Edwards will likely be a big part of this Ravens' backfield as the season progresses. That said, we just don't know how the Baltimore coaching staff will handle him in his first game back from a prolonged layoff.
John Harbough and company have shown a willingness to trust Edwards in the past, and he's proven himself to be a very capable NFL running back when healthy, especially in goal-line situations.
Due to the overall uncertainty in the Baltimore backfield at the moment - and the fact that Edwards hasn't played in an NFL game since 2020 - he should only be considered a desperation FLEX option at best in a Week 7 matchup against Cleveland.
