George Kittle did not play in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams due to a hamstring issue. The team was also without Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel Sr., and despite their absence, the offense put up 24 points.

Unfortunately, the Rams were able to pull off a miracle and won the game 27-24. The 49ers are 1-2 heading into Week 4, where they will face the New England Patriots.

George Kittle Injury Update for Fantasy Football

As per reports, Kittle is expected to return to practice this week. This increases his chances of playing in Week 4 against the Patriots, and the team desperately needs him back.

Although the Patriots have lost two straight games, their defense can make things tough for any team. The Patriots are giving up an average of 19.0 points and 340.3 total yards of offense heading into Week 4.

With McCaffrey and Samuel expected to miss more time, having Kittle alongside wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings will be helpful for quarterback Brock Purdy. In the loss against the Rams, no other player other than Jennings stepped up, but things will likely change once Kittle is back.

George Kittle Fantasy Football Outlook

In the two games that he has played this year, Kittle has 11 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets. He is averaging 10.5 yards per reception and has scored a total of 28.6 points in PPR scoring leagues.

Kittle played the only game of his career against the Patriots in 2020, and he had five receptions for 55 yards on seven targets. During the Patriots' 24-3 loss to the New York Jets last week, Jets tight end Tyler Conklin had five receptions for 93 yards on six targets.

Kittle could have the same impact in Week 4 as the 49ers will be determined to get a win after back-to-back losses. Purdy has played quite well so far this season and getting the ball to his star tight end will not be a problem. The premium tight ends in fantasy football have not performed so far, but the 49ers star could change that on Sunday.
