As per the Seahawks' head coach, Pete Carroll, there is no structural issue in Geno Smith's elbow. Fortunately for the team, their quarterback could play on Thursday in the big game against the 49ers.
The team is still fighting for a playoff spot, and their chances depend on Smith's availability. They have a tough run of fixtures up ahead, and getting a positive result at home this week will be crucial.
The 17-16 loss to the Rams could surely hurt them in the long run. However, if Smith continues to play well, they are likely to make a late surge and seal a playoff spot.
