Is Corey Davis Playing In Week 11? Should I Start Elijah Moore In Fantasy Football?

Is Corey Davis Playing In Week 11? Should I Start Elijah Moore In Fantasy Football?

New York Jets wide receiver Corey Davis has been a solid NFL player. Unfortunately, he hasn’t turned into a consistent fantasy starter.

However, the veteran receiver started the year strong. Davis averaged 11.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the first four games this year, scoring at least 10.7 fantasy points three times. Furthermore, he averaged 6.3 targets per game during that span.

While he started the year strong, Davis’ play has regressed. Over his past three games, the former Western Michigan star averaged only three targets and 3.7 fantasy points per game, scoring under 6.5 fantasy points in every contest. More importantly, the veteran has missed time this year because of injuries.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Is Corey Davis Playing In Week 11?

Davis has missed the past two games because of a knee injury. While the Jets hoped the veteran receiver would return this week coming off the bye, the team ruled Davis out for Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots.

Garrett Wilson will be the No. 1 wide receiver again this week, with Davis unable to play. While the rookie is a solid starting option, should fantasy players consider starting Elijah Moore?

Should I Start Elijah Moore In Fantasy Football?

The short answer is no. While Moore flashed superstar talent as a rookie, the second-year receiver is averaging only 3.5 fantasy points per game this season. Furthermore, he has only one target over his past three games and has scored only 1.6 fantasy points since Week 4.

However, one receiver fantasy players can add and start from the waiver wire this week is Darius Slayton. The New York receiver is available in over 80% of ESPN leagues. Last week he scored his first touchdown of the season.

Over the past five games, the veteran receiver has averaged 5.2 targets per game, seeing at least six in three contests. Furthermore, Slayton averaged 10.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game during that span, scoring 9.1 or more in 80% of the games.

Meanwhile, he has a fantasy-friendly matchup this week. The Detroit Lions have given up 29.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, the seventh-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up two or more receiving touchdowns to wide receivers in a third of their games.
