Is Aaron Rodgers Hurt or Healthy? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Aaron Rodgers - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Is Aaron Rodgers hurt or healthy? Is Aaron Rodgers playing in Week 6? Read the latest Aaron Rodgers fantasy football injury updates and outlook.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) continued his rough start to the season in Week 5, though it wasn't a big surprise. Rodgers struggled against one of the best defenses in the NFL, throwing two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.

Rodgers is 40 years old and likely in one of his final seasons on a dysfunctional offense, so it's not necessarily a surprise he's been struggling.

Unfortunately, Rodgers may have picked up an injury issue after Week 5. Is Rodgers hurt or healthy now?

Aaron Rodgers Injury Update for Fantasy Football

The longtime vet picked up an ankle issue during the Jets' loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5. It isn't reportedly a serious issue, though.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh also implied that it wasn't a big deal when he stated that Rodgers is expected to play when his team faces the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. Fantasy managers shouldn't be overly concerned with Rodgers' current ailment. It's good to keep an eye out for further issues, though, so be sure to stay updated.

Aaron Rodgers Fantasy Football Outlook

Rodgers' Jets have now scored the same number of points through five games in 2024 as they did in 2023. Yes, the future Hall of Famer in charge of the offense hasn't led to any improvement so far. This highlights the dysfunction the team is currently facing, and there's not much optimism it could improve massively.

There is a litany of problems with the Jets on this side of the ball. The connection with lead WR Garrett Wilson still isn't strong -- despite him having his best fantasy day by far, he only produced 101 yards and a touchdown on 22 targets. A-Rod also threw 54 passes, which is an unsustainable rate.

He's not been relevant in single-QB leagues yet. He's just the QB16 overall and hasn't cracked 300 passing yards in a game. He has just seven passing touchdowns to four interceptions through five games and very little rushing upside. He belongs on benches for now.
