Free NBA Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets, Expert Predictions, Odds (2/3/23)

Anthony Edwards - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News - rotoballer icon

Thunder Dan's top NBA betting picks and best bets for today's NBA games on 2/3/23. His free picks against the spread, teasers, parlays, and NBA player props.

Eight games on the docket tonight and while I want to avoid a few of these big spreads in Philly and Boston, there are still a few other games that I think we can target with sides or totals.

I'm only picking sides and totals in this article three days a week, so consider subscribing to my sports betting substack here as I put out some DFS stuff and props on most evenings from Monday through Friday, too. Props have been hot lately, too!

In this article, I'll be providing my favorite picks against the spread, game totals, parlays, and teasers for NBA games that tip-off at 7:00 PM EST on Friday, February 3rd.

Thunder Dan's NBA Best Bets

  • 2022-2023 Overall Record: 104-111-1
  • Against the Spread: 49-55-1
  • Game/Team Totals: 12-25
  • Moneyline Parlay: 15-22
  • Teasers: 25-10

NBA Betting Picks: Against the Spread

Orlando Magic (+5) @ Minnesota Timberwolves (229.5 total)

Don't look now but the T-Wolves are playing some of their best basketball and Anthony Edwards is blossoming into a superstar. No Towns, no Gobert - no problem! Minnesota knocked off the Warriors in overtime without either big man on Wednesday night and has now won six of their last eight.

Orlando has been playing better, too, and they're not nearly as bad as they were earlier in the season as they are getting healthier. But with or without Gobert, I still have Minnesota favored here by 7 points, meaning I'm comfortable laying five as they are at home and in great form.

The Pick: Wolves -5 (-110)

Atlanta (+1.5) @ Utah Jazz (242 total)

This is my riskier pick of the evening as Utah is not a team that I usually like picking on and they've already beaten the Hawks once this season.

But Atlanta is coming off a thrashing of Phoenix on the road in their last game and they're a dangerous team when they're all healthy - and they're the healthiest they've been in a long time.

I view these teams pretty equally and so we are basically taking a shot here at one of the few live underdogs on the slate. Atlanta is tough to predict, but in the last two weeks, they have had some really quality victories over Miami, Dallas, New York, Toronto, and OKC.

The Hawsk feel like they're trending up and I give them a decent shot at pulling off this mild upset tonight.

The Pick: Hawks ML (+100)

NBA Betting Picks: Game/Team Totals

Sacramento Kings (-2.5) @ Indiana Pacers (235.5 total)

I don't have a take on a winner here, but I think this game will be very competitive based on the fact that the Kings are without De'Aaron Fox and the Pacers looked a lot better last night as they nearly upset the Lakers at home.

What we want here are points - and lots of them. The Kings' offense might take a small hit without Fox, but they have plenty of other capable scorers and Domantas Sabonis should be able to get whatever he wants inside against the Pacers in a huge revenge spot against his old team. Myles Turner might be a shot blocker, but he's not a great defender don't be fooled by his huge block numbers.

The Pacers have hit the over 7 out of 10 times in the second game of back-to-backs, so that trend looks good here. And my last-ten games model has this one projected for over 240 points, too.

I have been treading lightly with totals, but I think this one stands out as the best option of any on the slate tonight.

The Pick: OVER 235.5 (-110)

NBA Betting Picks: Parlays and Teasers

FAVORITE TEASER (buying 10 points - SUPER TEASER!)

PHI -0, BOS -0, MIN +5, IND +12.5 = (-120 DK)

I usually aim for better odds, but I have a lot of success with 8-point teasers with 3-teams and 10-point teasers that DK offers for 4 teams and we are basically looking to make a safe profit here.

I usually post all my favorite props in our RotoBaller Discord on a nightly basis - if you're not a premium member for NBA content you can change that by signing up here!

We just added a new player prop tool that is available to our NBA premium and betting premium members, too!
