Happy December, RotoBallers! We have a special article in this one, as we take a look at the In-Season Tournament Final. I haven't really felt one way or another about the tournament, but I do think it's a fun way to create excitement so early in the season.
We have ourselves just one game tonight. Neither of these teams comes in on a back-to-back, of course, so both should be rested and geared up for what should be a fun one.
In this article, I'll be providing my favorite picks against the spread, and game totals for the NBA In-Season Tournament Final at 8:30 PM EST on Saturday, December 9.
NBA Betting Picks: In-Season Tournament Final
Indiana Pacers (+4.5) @ Los Angeles Lakers (241 total)
We head out to Vegas as the Pacers and Lakers square off to determine who will be the inaugural in-season tournament champion. It should be a fun game -- with Indiana looking to make waves while LeBron James looks to add another accolade to his already illustrious career.
Here's the breakdown: the Pacers project to positively regress in terms of defensive efficiency but negatively regress in offensive efficiency, while the Lakers project to positively regress in offensive efficiency while negatively regress in defensive efficiency. The Pacers have a slight edge in team efficiency, edging the Lakers 116.88 to 115.89. This shows a lot for a team that's a 4.5-point underdog. I think this game plays close and high-scoring, so I'll be on the Pacers spread and the over.
