What's going on RotoBallers? John Brubaker here for my first installment of FREE MLB Player Props. MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Edward Cabrera OVER 6.5K (-112, FD) vs. LAA

I'll start things off out west with Edward Cabrera's strikeout prop. I feel like a lot of people will be on Shohei Ohtani today, which I don't hate, but I prefer taking Cabrera in this one. Cabrera has logged a 29.5% strikeout rate on the year, 35.9% over the last 30 days, and 27.9% over the previous 14 days. Meanwhile, the Angels have struck out at a 28.2% clip over their last seven games, with Jesus Luzardo racking up seven punchouts over five innings in last night's matchup. My model projects Cabrera to have 7.12 strikeouts tonight on a 30.53% strikeout rate, so we're getting solid value here.

Brady Singer UNDER 3.5K (+132, FD) vs. WSH

I'll take a look at an under for my second strikeout play of the night, with Brady Singer out in Kansas City. Singer brings in a lowly 18.9% strikeout percentage across 2023, a number that has dropped down to just 12.5% over the last two weeks. The Nationals have hung right around a 20% clip over the course of the entire season, leading my model to project Singer to just a 15.14% strikeout rate in their matchup this evening. He projects to just 2.57 strikeouts, so we're getting really solid value here.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Yordan Alvarez OVER 1.5 TB (-+115, DK) vs. OAK

As of right now, it appears the Athletics will be sending Hogan Harris to the mound. Harris is bringing in a... checks notes... 162.00 ERA into this one. To be fair to him, he's only pitched in one game, it just so happens that in that one game, he allowed six runs on one hit and five walks, and recorded just one out. With that being said, I'll look to target Yordan today, who projects to an even .460 wOBA, 43.45% hard contact rate, and 2.52 total bases against the 26-year-old righty.

Seiya Suzuki OVER 1.5 TB (+150 DK) vs. CIN

I'll wrap things up with Seiya Suzuki tonight. He and the Cubs will take on Brandon Williamson, who brings a respectable 3.60 ERA into this one. That 3.60 ERA doesn't appear that it'll last very long, though, as Williamson is projected some massive regression -- with a 6.54 ERA and 5.04 xFIP, per Fangraphs, and projecting to a 5.25 SIERA in his matchup today against Chicago. Suzuki will be licking his chops here, as he's dominated lefties all season. His .529 wOBA against southpaws over the last seven days and projected wOBA of .456 are solid indicators he should do the deed for us in this one.
