Our first bet of the day has been a theme in my RotoBaller articles the last month or so, and that is attacking the New York Yankees with strikeouts. In the previous 30 days, this team has a 27.6% K% against right-hand pitching. That is the second worst in baseball behind the Angels and ahead of the Tigers, Rockies, and Athletics. Yes, this team is that bad. Bassitt, on the season, has a 21.8% K% and a 9.1% SwStr%. He has reached the six-strikeout mark in eight of his last 11 starts. He now gets a matchup at home against one of the most strikeout-happy teams in the big leagues. Lock in the over.

Our second bet of the night comes in Minnesota between the Twins and the A's. Luis Medina will toe the rubber against another high-strikeout team. The Twins lead baseball this season in strikeouts against right-hand pitching with a 27.1% K%. They also have already clinched the division, and playing a day game following a night game makes me feel like this lineup may be a bit watered down once it comes out. Medina, on the season, has a 21.7% K% and an 11.0% SwStr%. I love his chances of getting over five strikeouts this afternoon.

Marcus Stroman OVER 2.5 strikeouts (-145 DraftKings Sportsbook)

My last bet of the night is my favorite bet of the night. This truly is a pure feel bet. Others would call it a heat check. I have watched Marcus Stroman pitch since his dominance at Duke and the USA Collegiate National Team. There is one thing I know that Stroman does well, and that is compete, especially in big-time games. AKA the tweet below. Well, tonight, he starts against the Atlanta Braves in a must-win for the Cubs playoff hopes. Stroman should be stretched to around 75-90 pitches tonight, but my gut tells me he will get closer to 90. He has a 20.7% K% and a 9.3% SwStr% on the season. Lock in Stroman and the Cubs moneyline tonight.
