Free MLB Player Props - Today's Prop Betting Picks for Hitters and Pitchers (6/7/23)

Roansy Contreras - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Today's free MLB prop betting picks for Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Use Casey Wilson's top baseball prop picks and MLB prop bet recommendations to win money on sportsbooks.

Last week we were perfect with our player props having a clean four-for-four sweep. This was after my guy Thunder Dan had a clean sweep the day before. Let's see if we can keep the balling rolling over at RotoBaller. I have three safe props today and a +200 bet that could get us some quality profit on the day.

Attention, fellow sports bettors! We have exciting news to share as we are officially partnered with various sportsbooks and have some sweet sports betting promo offers! Get your deposit bonus and a year of free RotoBaller Premium access when you sign up with a new account today! After you're signed up, use our picks in this article for spreads, totals, and props to win big.

I'll provide my favorite prop bets for MLB games on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in this article. I will continue to hone in on K props first, as they are the most lucrative, and we will follow that with some total base props. Let's look at some of the best MLB player props worth wagering on for today's games without further ado! Follow me on Twitter @CaseyW22 for more free betting and DFS advice.

MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Zach Davies OVER 2.5 strikeouts (-175 DraftKings Sportsbook)

First, I want to start by saying I don't love the -175. FanDuel has a line of over 3.5 strikeouts for +122 if you want to take that. The -175 is also a perfect parlay piece. I am betting it outright and including it in a parlay.

Not often do we get a line at over 2.5 strikeouts. Davies has a 17.1% K and a 6.2% SwStr. He has at least three strikeouts this season in all four of his starts. We are not betting on Davies's talent here or even the matchup. We are attacking a strikeout line that is too low in a decent matchup.

The Nationals are dead last in baseball with a 19.1% K against right-handed pitching. They have been the most formidable team to strike out against this split. They have at least four hitters in their lineup with more than a 20% K. There are some strikeouts in this lineup, and Davies only needs three. To be honest, I throw 80 MPH now as a washed-up old man and could probably go and get three strikeouts against this lineup.

Zack Wheeler UNDER 8.5 strikeouts (-155 DraftKings Sportsbook)

I guess it's Zack day over at RotoBaller. Wheeler has a great matchup with the Detroit Tigers today, who have scored three runs in 18 innings in this series. The Tigers hold a 24.5% K against right-hand pitching, good for sixth-best to attack in baseball. They have one player in their lineup below a 20% K. There are strikeouts in this lineup, but again this line is too high.

Wheeler has a 26.9% K and a 13.1% SwStr. He has only struck out nine or more in two of his twelve starts this season. He has been at seven strikeouts or below in nine of his twelve starts, a full strikeout below where this line is set. I understand he's in a great matchup here with the Tigers, but there is no way his line should be set at 8.5 strikeouts.

Roansy Contreras to record a win (+200 DraftKings Sportsbook)

Because I gave you two lines without much juice, we will get slightly different with our last pitcher prop. The Athletics will battle Contreras in the last game of their series in Pittsburgh. The Pirates enter this game with a 32-28 record. The A's have a 13-50 record.

Contreras has gone at least five innings in eight of 11 starts this season. I believe he will pitch deep enough into this game to achieve a win. The A's own an 83 wRC+ against right-hand pitching, and Contreras has pitched to a 3-4 record with a 4.82 ERA. His opponent Hogan Harris is 0-0 with a 6.97 ERA. The Pirates possess a 104 wRC+ against left-handed pitching. They are also one of the best teams in baseball in day games. The odds at +200 are juiced and a great way to take a shot on Contreras in a great matchup.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

SGP Ketel Marte + Christian Walker to record a hit (-160 DraftKings SportsBook)

Over the last few days, I've been hitting on some hits parlays. Honestly, it's been a blast betting and very profitable. So I'm going to write it up here in today's article. I like giving you guys different looks on how to bet instead of writing up the everyday props like always. You can always take either of the two guys below for their total bases prop to get a better line.

The Diamondbacks will square off today against Patrick Corbin. Corbin starts today with a 4.84 SIERA and a .291 BAA. Against right-handed batters this season, he owns a .354 wOBA and 44.1% hard hit. Over the last 30 days, he holds a .374 wOBA and a 51.2% hard hit against the split.

Marte has a .377 wOBA, .229 ISO, and a 39.0% hard hit. He has a hit in 13 of his last 15 games and is batting .271. Walker has a .419 wOBA, .396 ISO, and a 42.5% hard hit. He has a hit in 9 of his last 15 games. He is batting .250 on the season. Left-handed pitchers are both Walker's and Marte's better splits, and I expect both to get a hit tonight against Corbin and the Nationals bullpen.
