MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Noah Syndergaard OVER 4.5 strikeouts (-145 DraftKings Sportsbook)
We tried this last week and got absolutely shelled as Syndergaard allowed four earned runs while lasting just 2/3 of an inning pitched against these Rangers. The Rangers have struggled to make contact against right-handed pitchers otherwise and are posting a K rate of nearly 26% over the previous two weeks, which ranks fourth-worst in baseball over that span. Syndergaard had cruised over this total in two of his previous three starts before getting popped by these Rangers, so here is to hoping he does not let that happen again.
Dane Dunning OVER 4.5 strikeouts (+100 DraftKings Sportsbook)
This is a great opportunity at even money with Dunning tonight as he has gone over this total in five straight and six of his previous seven games, including a start against these Angels. The Angels have posted a K rate of 23.3% vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which is ranked 10th-worst in the league. The only scary stat for me here is the 130 wRC+ the Angels are posting vs. righties over the previous two weeks, but Dunning should still be able to clip five Angel's wings in this one.
Dylan Cease UNDER 7.5 strikeouts (+120 DraftKings Sportsbook)
I have told myself over and over not to doubt Dylan Cease, but this prop seems a bit fishy to me. Sure, Cease has eclipsed this total in five straight games, including one against these Red Sox, but this matchup will prove to be a bit tougher this time around. Boston is currently posting the best K rate in baseball against right-handers over the previous two weeks with a rate of just 17.0%. They are also posting the best wRC+ mark vs. righties over that same span with a mark of 158. Cease could get to eight here as he did back on May 7th, but all the value is on the under here.
MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Ty France OVER 1.5 total bases (+140 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Normally, I would opt to use a Ty France total base prop against a left-handed starter, but he has actually hit righties quite well thus far in 2022. He is posting a .880 OPS with four bombs and six doubles against them. He will be facing James Kaprielian who has allowed righties to go deep off of him twice in just nine innings pitched against them while also posting a 4.88 FIP.
