MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Dylan Cease OVER 6.5 strikeouts (-140 DraftKings Sportsbook)
This number is definitely more about Cease than the Royals. Cease has eclipsed this total in four straight games and in all but one game this season. He has also struck out at least eight in all but that one game this season. While the Royals have the second-best K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks, Cease did manage to strike out nine of them in a start back on April 27.
Zach Plesac UNDER 4.5 strikeouts (-130 DraftKings Sportsbook)
In all honesty, the value is likely on the over here at +130, but I am not willing to go there with Plesac, even if it against the Reds. Plesac has yet to strike out more than four in any start this season. He has also been roughed up quite a bit recently as he has allowed at least four earned runs in each of his previous three starts. It should be noted that the Reds are posting the fourth-highest K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks, though. This one will be close.
MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Tyler Naquin OVER 1.5 total bases (+130 DraftKings Sportsbook)
We know Plesac has struggled lately, so why not go after him with our hitter props? He has allowed three bombs to left-handed hitters thus far in 2022 while posting an ugly 7.10 FIP and absurd 1.90 WHIP. Naquin, on the other hand, has already ripped nine doubles and a bomb off of right-handed pitching to begin 2022 and will be returning to Cleveland to face his former team.
Aaron Judge OVER 1.5 total bases (-125 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Judge and the Yankees get a juicy matchup against Spenser Watkins today. Watkins has allowed four home runs, a 7.73 FIP, and a 1.90 WHIP to right-handed hitters to begin 2022. Meanwhile, Aaron Judge is posting a 1.008 OPS with a whopping eight home runs vs. right-handed pitching this season. His home run prop is set at +330 and is also worth looking at.
