Today's MLB Betting Picks - Padres at Rockies

O/U: 10.5 | Moneyline: SD -166
SD: Michael King| COL: Ryan Feltner
Game Time: 8:40 p.m. EDT

We have another slate that has a game played at Coors Field between the San Diego Padres and the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies will be throwing in right-hander Ryan Feltner, who has allowed 12 earned runs through his first 21 1/3 innings pitched. He has also walked eight batters over this same stretch. The tough times are likely to continue against these Padres as well.

Over the previous two weeks, San Diego has posted a 112 wRC+ mark vs. right-handers, which is good enough to rank them seventh best in baseball over that span. They have also shown some patience at the plate as they have posted a 10% walk rate and a K rate of 22.2%. While the K rate is a tad high, the walk rate is very encouraging. Once Feltner is done, the Padres should be able to take advantage of a Rockies bullpen that has posted the sixth-worst ERA to begin the season with a mark of 5.17. This makes the Padres team total over 5.5 set to -125 a solid play.

Pick: Padres Team Total OVER 5.5 runs (-125), DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's MLB Betting Picks - Marlins at Braves

O/U: 9 | Moneyline: Braves -250
MIA: Trevor Rogers| ATL: Max Fried
Game Time: 7:20 p.m. EDT

The total for this game is set a tad high if you ask me. While the Atlanta Braves have posted a 148 wRC+ vs. left-handers over the previous two weeks, they did struggle last night against Ryan Weathers and the Marlins as they were only able to win the game 3-0. Trevor Rogers has also been relatively solid this season as he has allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his previous three starts.

The Braves will be throwing Max Fried, and while he has posted an ugly 7.71 ERA to begin the season, his best start did come against these Marlins on April 12. In that start, Fried pitched 6 1/3 innings while only allowing four hits and one earned run. This should come as no surprise, either, as the Marlins have posted just a 79 wRC+ mark vs. southpaws over the previous two weeks, ranking them the ninth worst in baseball over that span. For these reasons, the under nine runs at -120 seems like a reasonable play.

Pick: Game total UNDER 9 runs (-120), DraftKings Sportsbook
