Week 15 Fantasy Football Kicker Outlooks and Rankings Analysis

A new feature has been added to our weekly fantasy football rankings article. Below, you will find our fantasy football outlooks for key options in Week 14, which gives readers a matchup preview of that player and advice on whether to start or avoid for the upcoming week. We provide outlooks for all 32 NFL teams, which can be found on our player profile pages and our fantasy football news desk.

Blake Grupe, K, New Orleans Saints
Week 15 Kicker Rank: 8

New Orleans Saints kicker Blake Grupe has now posted back-to-back disappointing weeks. While he was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points against Carolina in Week 14, he missed his lone field goal attempt from 29 yards out. The New York Giants have been a tough matchup for kickers this season, allowing an average of 6.9 fantasy points per game. With Grupe's recent struggles teamed with a bad matchup, fantasy managers should look elsewhere for their kicker during the fantasy playoffs.

Harrison Butker, K, Kansas City Chiefs
Week 15 Kicker Rank: 19

2023 has been a season of perfection for Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who is absolutely locked in with 23 of 23 field goals and 31 of 31 extra points converted. Butker's flawlessness has unfortunately not translated over to the world of fantasy. Dallas Cowboys rookie Brandon Aubrey is the only other every-week starter not to miss a field goal this year, except Aubrey is appropriately leading the charge with 147 fantasy points. Butker, on the other hand, ranks 13th in total scoring (109 points).

The 28-year-old began the campaign with five out of eight showings in double-figure fantasy points but has been reduced to five consecutive single-digit displays. A middling Chiefs offense that's struggled to sustain drives all season has kept Butker's opportunities in check, but a kicker who hasn't missed yet shouldn't be displaced from fantasy's top 10 in Week 15 against the New England Patriots.

Jake Moody, K, San Francisco 49ers
Week 15 Kicker Rank: 4

San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody visits Arizona to kickoff versus the Cardinals on Sunday. Last week against Seattle, Moody's only scoring happened on four extra points. It's been two games without a field goal for Moody, which stings a bit for fantasy managers, but the only reason he hasn't gotten one is that he has gotten zero opportunities in that time. The 49ers have been so good at scoring touchdowns that Moody is near the bottom of the league in field goal attempts among season-long starters at just 20.

Still, extra points count in fantasy, which will continue to provide Moody with a nice floor. Arizona's controlled environment and San Francisco likely having little trouble getting into Cardinals territory make Moody a Top-5 option in Week 15.
