Chris Godwin Injury Update

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 4 against the Chiefs. However, the veteran will test things out pregame before he's given an definitive designation. Godwin was heading into the season fresh off a knee injury. Yet, he injured his hamstring during the season opener versus the Cowboys and hasn't been seen since.

With an official word surrounding Godwin's status not expected to come until after the first set of games begin, fantasy managers should consider holding him out another week if possible, especially since he may be limited anyway.

Marquise Brown Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (foot) is expected to play on Sunday against the Panthers, per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. Hollywood didn't see much practice time throughout the week, logging a limited session on Friday. The 25-year-old is coming off a stellar Week 3 performance versus the Los Angeles Rams, finishing with 14 receptions for 140 yards.

Although managers shouldn't expect that type of production in Week 4, Brown is always a threat to make things happen on the fantasy end, regardless of the matchup.

Christian McCaffrey Injury Update

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (thigh) is expected to play in Week 4 against Arizona, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. The veteran missed a few practices throughout the week before logging a limited session on Friday, so it appeared he was at least trending in the right direction. McCaffrey has played in all three of the Panthers' games this season, accumulating 243 yards and a touchdown off 50 carries while catching 10 passes for 57 yards.

Fantasy managers should navigate this situation carefully, especially since McCaffrey's official designation won't be revealed until after Sunday's first set of games commence. However, if he gets the green light, he's a must-start despite a semi-challenging matchup versus an adequate Cardinals run-stopping unit.

Dalton Schultz Injury Update

Dallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz (knee) is expected to be active in a Week 4 matchup against the Washington Commanders. Schultz suffered a PCL injury in Week 2 that forced him to miss last week's contest. He figures to be a primary target for Cooper Rush on Sunday and Dak Prescott (thumb) when he returns.

Fantasy managers that have multiple top-12 options can afford to wait a week to see if Schultz is limited in any capacity, but there is likely not a better option for your lineup. He can be started as a TE1 this week and going forward.

Rondale Moore Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore (hamstring) is expected to make his season debut in a Week 4 showdown with the Carolina Panthers. Moore has been dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the first three weeks but will be a welcome addition to the Cardinals' offense that is also without DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) for three more games.

There was buzz in the offseason that Moore would see an expanded role in 2022, so he is definitely worth stashing in fantasy leagues. The second-year wideout projects as just a desperation flex option for this week and his return likely hampers the value of Greg Dortch, who has been a solid contributor to start the season.

Julio Jones Injury Update

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Julio Jones (knee) will likely play in Week 4 versus the Kansas City Chiefs, per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. The veteran didn't practice on Friday, which is usually not a good sign. However, barring a setback during pregame warmups, he will be out there.

Jones began his tenure with the Bucs by catching three of his five targets for 69 yards during the Week 1 encounter against the Cowboys but hasn't been available since. Chris Godwin (hamstring) is also expected to suit up, and with Mike Evans returning from a one-game suspension, Jones should be viewed as a flex option. But since his official designation won't be revealed until after the early lock time, fantasy managers should consider keeping him on the bench.

Zay Jones Injury Update

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones (ankle) is expected to play on Sunday against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. The 27-year-old is dealing with an ankle injury, although it appears he was going to suit up all along.

Jones is entering Week 4 with 19 catches for 173 yards and a touchdown, and despite the task ahead, he has at least earned a flex spot for fantasy managers in deep leagues.

D.J. Chark Injury Update

Detroit Lions wide receiver D.J. Chark (ankle) has been ruled out for the team's Week 4 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. This news comes as a surprise as head coach Dan Campbell stated on Friday that Chark would play. The Lions' offense will be without many of its top weapons on Sunday as running back D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) are also both inactive.

Jamaal Williams and T.J. Hockenson look like must-start fantasy options as necessary targets for Jared Goff and Josh Reynolds (ankle) will be a solid flex play if active. Kalif Raymond and Quintez Cephus would be next in line for snaps at the wide receiver position.

Dak Prescott Injury Update

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb) is looking to return against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. Prescott hasn't played since the season opener when he totaled 14 completions, 134 yards, and one interception before exiting early.

The 29-year-old had stitches removed from his thumb and began throwing a football this past week, so he is definitely on the right track. However, the Cowboys will make the final call on his availability and they want to make sure he is nearly 100 percent before inserting him back into the offense.

Brian Robinson Injury Update

Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson (knee) is expected to be activated from the reserve/non-football injury list early this week, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Although this doesn't necessarily mean that Robinson will play in Week 5, he is making clear progress and should make his NFL debut very soon.

Rapoport writes, "Robinson did a simulated series this week with the strength and conditioning staff, mimicking what it will be like in an NFL game. He came out of it with positive reviews." The Alabama product had been making a case to earn the starting job over Antonio Gibson this summer before being sidelined with gunshot wounds from a robbery attempt.
