Anthony Richardson Injury Update

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) was held out completely from Thursday's organized team activities due to what he described as "a little soreness" in his surgically repaired right shoulder. "It's nothing to worry about," Richardson said. "I've dealt with this before. Normally, I just ice up and just go back at it again." The Colts aren't going to push the second-year signal-caller after he had season-ending AC joint surgery back in October, and Richardson dismissed any notion that he suffered a setback in his rehab.

He said the Colts were actually "surprised" that Thursday was the first day he sat out due to soreness because it's been "smooth sailing" otherwise. Despite having played in only four games in the NFL, Richardson has enticing high-end QB1 upside in fantasy. Richardson should be a full-go in training camp this summer. (TheAthletic)

Kyren Williams Injury Update

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams (foot) was previously working with trainers during OTAs and doing some uptempo workouts. As shown by the Rams' official account on X, the lead back was back on the practice field and participating in on-field workouts on Thursday.

Williams is set to open the year as the top back on the depth chart, but the team did bring in rookie Blake Corum who will likely see at least some snaps in each game. Williams does have a bit of an injury history with his foot, so he'll be one to monitor as we get closer to training camp.

Cooper Kupp Injury Update

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring) was limited to just 12 games in 2023 after dealing with a hamstring injury during the summer and averaged just 61.4 yards per game, the second-lowest mark of his career. He finished with 737 yards and five touchdowns, the second-fewest totals since he entered the league in 2017. Kupp did have four 100-yard games, but it was clear that he was never fully healthy last year. But the 30-year-old says he's fully healthy in 2024 and it's the first time in a while he's felt 100% during the offseason program.

Kupp should be able to rebound with better health this year, but he's also no longer a spring chicken and will have to deal with the emergence of fellow receiver Puka Nacua, who had a phenomenal rookie campaign. It's hard to imagine Kupp returning to peak form when led the league in catches (145), yards (1,947), and touchdowns (16) in 2021. (TheRamsWire)

Malachi Corley Injury Update

New York Jets rookie third-round wide receiver Malachi Corley (lower body) was a full participant at practice at organized team activities on Tuesday last week after leaving practice early the week prior with an undisclosed lower-body injury. Corley made an impressive contested catch in team drills on a pass from veteran backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor. The 22-year-old's injury from last week obviously wasn't too serious, and Corley is now back in the fold at OTAs gaining valuable repetitions as he learns the Jets offense heading into his first NFL season.

If Mike Williams (knee), who is coming off a torn ACL, is healthy, Corley will be the No. 3 option, at best, in New York's offense this year. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has taken a liking to Corley, though, which is a good first step for the youngster. (TheAthletic)

Joshua Palmer Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee), who has been rehabbing a knee injury that kept him out of six games last year, said he got the most repetitions of the offseason in last Tuesday's organized team activities. After posting a career-best 58.1 receiving yards per game last year, Palmer's role is set to increase even more in 2024 now that both Mike Williams and Keenan Allen are out of town.

However, he'll still be competing for targets with former first-rounder Quentin Johnston and second-round rookie Ladd McConkey, not to mention DJ Chark. The Bolts' offense is also transitioning to a run-first unit under head coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Greg Roman, so Palmer is far from a lock to break out this year. However, the 24-year-old's big-play ability makes him enticing as WR depth. (TheAthletic)

Alec Pierce Injury Update

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (foot) didn't take part in mandatory minicamp last week as a precaution after his foot was stepped on in practice last week. It's a minor injury for Pierce, who should be a full-go for training camp at the end of July. The 24-year-old wideout will be competing for the No. 3 job in Indy this year with rookie second-rounder Adonai Mitchell behind starters Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs.

The former second-rounder in 2022 out of Cincinnati hasn't really been on the fantasy radar in standard 12-team leagues in his first two years in the NFL, catching a total of 73 passes for 1,107 yards and four touchdowns, although a healthy Anthony Richardson at quarterback could change that if Pierce beats out Mitchell for the No. 3 job in training camp and the preseason.

Evan Hull Injury Update

Indianapolis Colts running back Evan Hull (knee) played in just one game and eight offensive snaps in his rookie season in 2023 before suffering a season-ending knee injury in which he tore his left MCL. "It was a root tear, so it was a little different than your typical tear in the body, which would be more of a six- to eight-week type of thing that we see typically," Hull said.

The former third-rounder was cleared to resume all football activities a few weeks after offseason organized team activities began, and he's been competing alongside Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson as the Colts evaluate who will serve as the primary back to Jonathan Taylor in 2024. Sermon is probably the favorite for the No. 2 backfield job, but Hull could see some third-down work in his second season in the NFL. (TheAthletic)
