Fantasy Football Injury Reports For Week 13 (Sunday Morning Updates): Josh Jacobs, Travis Etienne, Joe Mixon, Ja'Marr Chase, Deebo Samuel

Josh Jacobs - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, QB for Week 13 (2022), as of 12/4, including Justin Fields, Joe Mixon, Ja'Marr Chase, Josh Jacobs and more.

As we head into Week 13 of the NFL season, it's been a week with significant injury news. Fantasy managers must monitor these situations closely. These are the latest notable injury updates as of Sunday morning, December 4th.

Fantasy football stalwarts such as Joe Mixon, Justin Fields, Travis Etienne, and many more have been dealing with injuries ahead of Week 13. We have plenty of must-starts on this week's injury list, so fantasy managers should be ready to pivot should things go south.

Justin Fields Injury Update

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (shoulder) is off the team's final injury report and will play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 13.

Fields has 834 rushing yards and 20 total touchdowns on the year as an elite dual-threat fantasy quarterback. He missed just one game due to the injury, so his fantasy managers should trust him and play him with confidence.

Travis Etienne Injury Update

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. (foot) is expected to be "good to go" on Sunday against the Lions, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. The 23-year-old injured his right foot during the Week 12 contest versus the Baltimore Ravens, forcing him to miss the second half.

Nonetheless, while the residual effects of the ailment may slow Etienne down to some degree, he will be active for Week 13 and should remain in starting fantasy lineups for the favorable matchup in Detroit.

Ja'Marr Chase Injury Update

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (hip) is expected to suit up for Sunday's AFC Championship rematch against the Chiefs, per ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter. The wideout has missed the last four games while tending to a hairline fracture in his hip.

There has been nothing to indicate Chase will have his snaps capped, so fantasy managers need to get him back in the lineup for a game that could turn into a shootout.

Joe Mixon Injury Update

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (concussion) is still questionable ahead of the AFC Championship rematch versus the Chiefs. Per ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, the former Sooner remains in concussion protocol and has not been cleared. Considering the Bengals and Chiefs won't square off until 4:25 pm ET, fantasy managers should plan in advance, especially since Mixon's status may not be revealed until after the 1 pm ET lock time.

Nevertheless, if Mixon misses another one, Samaje Perine, who has totaled four touchdowns in the last two games, would continue to be the lead option out of the backfield. Perine is a must-start candidate for the potential high-scoring affair.

UPDATE (11:25 AM): Joe Mixon is considered highly unlikely to play, per ESPN's Dan Graziano

Antonio Gibson Injury Update

Washington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson (foot) is expected to suit up for the NFC East showdown versus the Giants, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. While having Gibson on the field is certainly beneficial for the team, fantasy managers may not be as enthusiastic considering Brian Robinson should handle most of the work out of the backfield.

Gibson finished with nine carries for 32 yards against the Falcons in Week 12, ceding snaps to Robinson, who had 105 yards off 18 touches along with a receiving touchdown. While Gibson could get limited action on Sunday, he's a risky flex option (at best) in fantasy formats.

Deebo Samuel Injury Update

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (thigh) has made significant progress and now plans to play against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Samuel is listed as questionable. He has played in 10 of the 49ers' 11 games this year, catching 44 passes for 511 yards and two touchdowns while also maintaining a role in the running game. He ranks as a mid-to-low WR2 this week but could see his value dip even lower if he has limitations or re-injures himself.

Josh Jacobs Injury Update

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (calf) was limited in practice all week and is questionable for Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers. For the second straight week, he looks to be a true game-time call. Jacobs aggravated a left calf injury in the Week 12 win over the Seattle Seahawks, but he also ran for over 200 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries and added six catches for 74 yards.

The overall RB1 on the year looks to be on the right side of questionable for this weekend and should remain plastered to all starting fantasy lineups against a suspect Chargers run defense. In the season opener against LA, Jacobs had a season-low 10 carries for 57 yards and caught his only target for a 16-yard gain. If the 24-year-old is limited or out altogether, Ameer Abdullah and rookie Zamir White figure to split the backfield.

UPDATE (12:05 PM): Jacobs is expected to play today per ESPN's Adam Schefter

Jameson Williams Injury Update

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams (knee) has been activated off the injured reserve ahead of the Week 13 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The rookie wideout will make his pro debut on Sunday. However, fantasy managers should expect the Lions to ease Williams into action.

The 21-year-old has been rehabbing from a torn ACL that he suffered last January. It's a welcoming sight to see Williams on the field, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from Williams right away. He could be worth stashing for fantasy managers who are desperate for help at wide receiver.
