Fantasy Football Injury Reports For Week 12 (Sunday Morning Updates): Justin Fields, Ja'Marr Chase, Leonard Fournette, Josh Jacobs

justin fields fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, QB for Week 12 (2022), as of 11/27, including Justin Fields, Joe Mixon, Ja'Marr Chase, Raheem Mostert and more.

As we head into Week 12 of the NFL season, it's been a week with significant injury news. Fantasy managers must monitor these situations closely. These are the latest notable injury updates as of Sunday morning, November 27th.

Fantasy football stalwarts such as Joe Mixon, Justin Fields, Leonard Fournette, and many more have been dealing with injuries ahead of Week 12. We have plenty of must-starts on this week's injury list, so fantasy managers should be ready to pivot should things go south.

To keep close tabs on all of the news across the NFL, make sure to favorite or bookmark the fantasy football player news page, or download the free RotoBaller fantasy football mobile app with push notification alerts on all the latest news. Let's look at the updates for some wide receivers and see whether they may play in Week 12.

Justin Fields Injury Update

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (shoulder) is considered a "long shot" to play against the Jets. However, he will go through pregame warmups before a final decision is made. After a dreadful start to the 2022-23 campaign, Fields has emerged to become one of the best fantasy quarterbacks in the NFL this season.

Unfortunately, with the Bears unlikely to make the playoffs, there's a chance the signal-caller won't be back this season to avoid further damage. In any event, Trevor Siemian is expected to be under center in Week 12. Yet, fantasy managers shouldn't expect much out of him versus a potent Jets defense.

Leonard Fournette Injury Update

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hip) has been ruled out for the Bucs' Week 12 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The 27-year-old is still dealing with a hip injury that he suffered in Week 10.

Rookie back Rachaad White is likely to have a heavy workload on Sunday. He's looking like a favorable flex option against a Browns defense that struggles to contain the rushing attack. Also, Giovani Bernard has been activated off the injured reserve. He should serve as the primary backup to White on Sunday with Ke'Shawn Vaughn also mixing in.

Ja'Marr Chase Injury Update

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (hip, shoulder) won't play on Sunday against the Titans. The wideout had been riding a questionable tag heading into Week 12 after missing time because of a hairline fracture in his hip and a torn labrum. However, Chase isn't ready to return, although the team remains hopeful he will be available for a Week 13 meeting with the Chiefs.

In the meantime, Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins should remain Joe Burrow's preferred targets in Week 12. With Joe Mixon (concussion) out as well, Samaje Perine, who is coming off a three-touchdown effort versus the Steelers, could also be more involved on the receiving end.

Joe Mixon Injury Update

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (concussion) has been officially ruled out for Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday due to his concussion that he suffered in last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mixon was unable to clear the league's protocol and didn't practice all week, paving the way for Samaje Perine to lead Cincy's backfield this weekend against the Titans.

Perine should've been a popular waiver-wire pickup this week because of Mixon's injury, especially after he scored three receiving touchdowns and saw 15 touches in Week 11. Rookie Chris Evans and Trayveon Williams will look to pick up the slack behind Perine this Sunday.

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (ankle) was activated from the injured reserve list on Saturday after missing his previous five games because of an ankle injury. With Rondale Moore (groin) out for the Week 12 meeting with the Chargers and Zach Ertz (knee) done for the year, the Cardinals could use Hollywood's services.

That said, Brown may be on a snap count for a game or two, so fantasy managers may want to consider holding him out until he proves he's fully healthy. As a result, DeAndre Hopkins should continue to see plenty of attention versus Los Angeles on Sunday.

Raheem Mostert Injury Update

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) is officially listed as doubtful to play in Week 12 against the Houston Texans. Head coach Mike McDaniel said it will be an uphill battle for Mostert to play on Sunday against the Texans, so it will be the Jeff Wilson Jr. show against Houston's last-ranked run defense this weekend.

It's a disappointing development for Mostert's managers with the Dolphins coming off their bye week. The 30-year-old is now clearly behind Wilson in Miami's backfield and will be more of a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex when he returns to action. With Mostert most likely out Sunday, Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin will battle for change-of-pace work behind Wilson.

Josh Jacobs Injury Update

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (calf) was added to the injury report on Friday after getting in a limited practice, and he's officially listed as questionable to play in Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. It's never a good sign when players are late additions to the injury report, so Jacobs' status bears watching heading into Sunday's game.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Jacobs is considered likely to play vs. Seattle barring any setbacks during his pre-game warmups.

Deebo Samuel Injury Update

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring) remains questionable ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Saints. The wideout didn't play in the Week 8 win over the Rams because of a hamstring injury, leading most to assume he's still dealing with the lingering effects. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an update, reporting that Samuel's current hamstring issue is "something different," although he didn't elaborate further.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Samuel is likely to play against the Saints in Week 12, barring any setbacks during his pre-game warmups.
