josh allen fantasy football rankings NFL injury news DFS lineup picks

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, QB for Thanksgiving Day (2022), as of 11/24, including Josh Allen, D'Andre Swift, Josh Reynolds, and Wan'Dale Robinson.

The Thanksgiving Day NFL slate has been a relatively quiet one from an injury perspective, though there are some notable injury issues on Turkey Day. Fantasy managers must monitor these situations closely. These are the latest notable injury updates as of Thursday morning, November 24th.

Fantasy football stalwarts such as Josh Allen, Wan'Dale Robinsons, D.J. Chark, D'Andre Swift, and many more have been dealing with injuries ahead of Week 12. We have plenty of must-starts on this week's injury list, so fantasy managers should be ready to pivot should things go south.

Josh Allen Injury Update

Josh Allen suffered an elbow injury in Buffalo's Week 9 loss to the New York Jets. Medical evaluations have led the Bills organization to believe that Allen's injury can't get worse by playing. As a result, he has suited up in both Weeks 10 and 11. He put forth his weakest fantasy effort of the season last week against the Cleveland Browns.

Allen's elbow issue is of note this week, as the Bills are set for a Thanksgiving Day clash against the Detroit Lions. Due to the quick turnaround, Allen was a limited participant in Buffalo's practices this week. However, he is considered a full go for the Bills' Turkey Day game against the Lions and enters Week 12 without an official injury designation.

D'Andre Swift Injury Update

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (shoulder, ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation against the Buffalo Bills for the Thanksgiving game. He logged back-to-back full practices, and all systems go against the Bills.

The 23-year-old rushed five times for 20 yards and a touchdown while catching all three of his targets for 12 yards in last Sunday's 31-18 win over the Giants. The Lions used a backfield committee between Swift, Jamaal Williams, and Justin Jackson in Week 12. Swift is an RB3/flex play against a Bills defense that ranks seventh in DVOA against the run.

D.J. Chark Injury Update

Detroit Lions wide receiver D.J. Chark (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation for the Thanksgiving game against the Buffalo Bills. He returned to action after a six-game absence last Sunday against the Giants. The 26-year-old logged 10 snaps and didn't catch a pass in the Week 11 win. He has seven catches for 98 yards and a touchdown over four games in 2022.

Chark is expected to be the Lions' secondary target behind star Amon-Ra St. Brown. Fantasy managers can use Chark in deep-league formats, but the former Jaguar has eclipsed 50 receiving yards just once this season.

Wan'Dale Robinson Injury Update

New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson will miss the remainder of his rookie season after suffering a torn ACL in the loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 11. Robinson was in the middle of a breakout game, catching nine of 13 targets for 100 yards, but will not get a chance to build on that performance.

In his absence, expect Darius Slayton to continue to operate as the team's No. 1 wide receiver, while Kenny Golladay and Richie James will likely see some targets from Daniel JonesDaniel Bellinger (eye) could also return soon, so he could be in line for a larger role.

Josh Reynolds Injury Update

Detroit Lions wide receiver Josh Reynolds (back) will play on Thanksgiving against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, according to a source. Reynolds got in some limited practices earlier this week and will return for the first time since Week 8 despite being listed as questionable for Turkey Day. The 27-year-old has had a couple nice games as a WR4/flex play for fantasy managers in deeper leagues this year, but the Lions will also be getting D.J. Chark back for this game against Buffalo.

Reynolds will be battling for targets with Chark and Kalif Raymond behind No. 1 pass-catcher Amon-Ra St. Brown and he could have his snaps limited in his first game back, making him a pretty shaky WR4/flex option in his first game back.
