JuJu Smith-Schuster Injury Update

JuJu Smith-Schuster came out of the Conference Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a knee injury. While he spent the next week of practice resting, the 26-year-old returned to practice this past week and was left off of the final injury report on Friday.

Smith-Schuster was never in danger of missing the biggest game of the season, and he will be the top target for those looking to start a Kansas City wide receiver in DFS tournaments or playoff leagues. Consider him the third-best option behind Eagles receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Kadarius Toney Injury Update

Kadarius Toney came out of the Conference Championship game with ankle and hamstring injuries, missing the first week of practice in preparation for Super Bowl LVII. After putting in two back-to-back sessions this past Thursday and Friday, the 24-year-old was left off the final injury report and will be active on Sunday.

The Chiefs plan to heavily involve Toney in their offensive game plan in an effort to take the top off of the elite Philadelphia pass defense. He carries FLEX value in both DFS tournaments and playoff leagues this weekend.

Britain Covey Injury Update

Britain Covey was listed as a limited participant in practice due to a hamstring injury. The rookie kick returner was the only player listed on the final injury report for either team heading into the weekend. He is questionable to suit up for Sunday's game.

Running back Boston Scott handled returns for Covey earlier this past regular season, and the rookie receiver offers no value as a FLEX option in DFS or playoff leagues that do not count points for return yards. Both teams are at as close too 100% as possible heading into Super Bowl LVII.

Mecole Hardman Injury Update

Mecole Hardman has been dealing with a pelvis injury that cost him multiple games over the back half of the regular season. While the team had hoped he could return for their playoff run, the 24-year-old was placed on Injured Reserve this past Monday and will miss Super Bowl LVII.

Kadarius Toney and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will continue to handle the No. 2 duties with Hardman out. Toney is the more desireable fantasy option in DFS, while Valdes-Scantling should be viewed as a boom-or-bust desperations FLEX option.
