Christian McCaffrey Injury Update
McCaffrey (calf contusion) is being evaluated on a day-to-day basis. While he should play against the Eagles this week, his participation in practice is still worth monitoring on Wednesday. Regardless of whether McCaffrey is 100 percent on Sunday, Elijah Mitchell should continue to see meaningful touches out of the backfield.
Tony Pollard Injury Update
Pollard (ankle, fibula) suffered a brutal leg injury on Sunday night and underwent surgery on Tuesday. The 25-year-old required a tightrope procedure to correct his high-ankle sprain, and he'll also work on rehabbing a fibula fracture. The latter issue won't require any surgery or casting since the fibula is non-weight-bearing. Pollard is scheduled to hit free agency this offseason but has been rumored as a priority re-signing for the Cowboys. It remains to be seen how much his injury impacts negotiations.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire Injury Update
Edwards-Helaire (ankle) was designated to return last week but was never officially activated from injured reserve. With that said, he has made significant progress and continues to inch closer to playing. There's a strong possibility that his return to the 53-man roster could be imminent after the Chiefs cut Chris Lammons.
