Fantasy Football Advice: Week Four Recap

In this piece, RotoBaller Chris Lacey recaps all the matchups with NFC teams from this past Sunday.  He breaks down all the fantasy relevant stats you need to stay on top of to win your league!

 

Eagles @ Broncos

Denver is another level with their play as they steamrolled the Eagles 52-20. Michael Vick was decent, throwing for 248 passing yards with no TDS. LeSean McCoy was good for 73 yards on 16 carries.

Peyton Manning was impressively precise once again completing 28 of 34 passes for 327 yards with four touchdowns and no INTs. Knowshon Moreno provided stability, rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Demaryius Thomas had a great game with nine catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Not to be outdone, Wes Welker caught seven passes for 76 yards with two TDs, as well. Eric Decker led all receivers with 88 yards on five catches.

 

49ers @ Rams

San Francisco got back on the winning track and easily defeated St.Louis 35-11. Sam Bradford was disappointing again, as he threw for just 202 yards with one TD and one INT.

Colin Kaepernick was good for 167 yards through the air and two touchdowns. Frank Gore ran the ball twenty times for 153 yards and had a rushing TD. Anquan Boldin had five receptions for 90 yards and a TD.

 

Cardinals @ Buccaneers

Arizona engineered a great fourth-quarter comeback to keep Tampa Bay winless with a 13-10 victory. Rookie Mike Glennon completed 24 passes for 194 yards with one TD and two picks for Tampa.

Carson Palmer threw for 248 yards and he also had a passing TD with two INTs. Michael Floyd was solid with five catches for 87 yards. Larry Fitzgerald caught the only TD pass of the game for Arizona, finishing with six receptions for 68 yards.

 

Giants @ Chiefs

Kansas City once again used their defense to demoralize their opponent, and they had no issues defeating the Giants by a score of 31-7.

Eli Manning was average at best, throwing for 217 yards with one TD. Victor Cruz was terrific with 10 catches for 164 yards and one TD.

Alex Smith passed for 288 yards with three TDs in the game. Sean McGrath did good work, catching five passes for 64 yards. Jamaal Charles ran for 65 yards and had 62 receiving yards with one TD.

 

Bears @ Lions

Detroit managed to win a close game against the Bears by of a score 40-32. Matthew Stafford threw for 242 yards with one TD. Reggie Bush was brilliant with 139 yards on the ground and he scored one rushing TD.

Jay Cutler threw for 317 yards and had two passing touchdowns, but he also had three INTs. Matt Forte ran the ball well with 95 yards on the ground and one TD.

Alshon Jeffery caught five passes for 107 yards with one TD. Martellus Bennett was also good, catching eight passes for 90 yards, and Brandon Marshall added another 79 yards on seven receptions.

 

Seahawks @ Texans

Seattle made a great comeback and stunned Houston with 23-20 victory in OT. Matt Schaub performed quite well, completing 31 passes for 355 yards with two TDs and two INTs.

Arian Foster was great with 102 rushing yards and 69 receiving yards with a TD. Andre Johnson caught nine balls for 102 yards.

Russell Wilson had a very disappointing performance, only throwing for 123 yards with an interception. Marshawn Lynch carried the ball 17 times for 98 yards with a rushing TD and he led the team with 45 receiving yards.

 

Cowboys @ Chargers

San Diego had a good game offensively, and they were able to defeat Dallas by a score of 31-20. Tony Romo threw for 244 yards with two TDs in this game. DeMarco Murray was good for 70 yards on the ground. Dez Bryant caught six passes for 81 yards with two receiving touchdowns.

Philip Rivers was outstandingly efficient, completing 35 of 41 passes for 401 yards and three passing TDs. Antonio Gates hauled in 10 catches for 136 yards with one receiving TD. Danny Woodhead caught five passes for 54 yards with two receiving TDs.

 

Redskins @ Raiders

The defense for Washington finally showed up to play, and as a result, they were victorious over Oakland by a score of 24-14. Matt Flynn threw for 227 yards with one TD and one INT. Rashad Jennings caught eight passes 71 yards and had another 45 rushing yards.

Robert Griffin completed 18 passes for 227 yards with one touchdown. Alfred Morris had 71 rushing yards and Pierre Garcon caught six passes for 59 yards with one TD.

 

Patriots @ Falcons

New England managed to hang on late as they defeated Atlanta 30-23. Matt Ryan threw for 421 yards with two TD and one INT. Tony Gonzalez caught 12 passes for 149 yards with two TDs, and Julio Jones had six receptions for 108 yards.

Tom Brady threw for 316 yards with two TDs and Kenbrell Thompkins caught six passes for 127 yards with one TD. Julian Edelman caught seven passes for 118 yards. LeGarrette Blount rushed nine times for 64 yards and a TD.
