9-Category Leagues - Waiver Wire Adds

This column is written based on H2H 9-category 12-team leagues. All players in this article are rostered at around 50 percent or less.

Marvin Bagley III, F/C - Detroit Pistons - 38% rostered

Bagley has scored in double figures in five consecutive games while shooting over 50% from the floor in all of those, including a 90% shooting night against the Jazz in a game where he had 19 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. His minutes have been going up, to the point where he played 31 minutes last time out against the Suns, his most minutes of the season. Bagley also happened to have a points-rebounds double in that one.

It looks like Bagley has moved into the lead for the center job over Jalen Duren since returning. It'll be interesting to see if that trend continues, as last game was the first one where the minutes split favored Bagley as much as it did.

Deni Avdija, F - Washington Wizards - 34% rostered

Deni hasn't really lived up to the hype, but he's played well lately. Over the last three games, Avdija has averaged 34.1 minutes per game, averaging 10.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.7 blocks per contest, including a near triple-double against the Heat. His increase in minutes and production also isn't tied to another player's injury, making him one of my top adds this week.

Derrick White, G - Boston Celtics - 56% rostered

White's been playing really well lately for the Celtics, scoring in double figures in seven of the last eight games. He isn't really providing the assist numbers you want from a guard, but he's a decent source of steals and threes, making three or more of them in three of the last four games.

Killian Hayes, G - Detroit Pistons - 40% rostered

Hayes was supposed to be a little better than he's been in a post-Cade Cunningham landscape, but he got a chance to start last time out with Jaden Ivey (knee) also out and finally splashed, with 17 points, eight rebounds, nine assists and three steals in 38 minutes. If the Ivey injury ends up being a thing, Hayes is a must-add.

Immanuel Quickley, G - New York Knicks - 25% rostered

Look, I know we've seen this before with Immanuel Quickley: he'll have a couple of games that make you say "whoa," and then he'll fade back. Heck, it happened this month, when he had a couple of good showings and then was held to six points in three consecutive games. But he now has back-to-back games with 18 points, and he's been a consistent source of steals and assists even when the scoring isn't there.

Terance Mann, G/F - Los Angeles Clippers - 34% rostered

Mann has scored in double figures in three of the last four games, and he's had an increase in minutes in the last two games, playing over 30 minutes in both of them. Now, that's been because of a hamstring injury to Paul George, which has pushed Mann into the starting lineup. He'll lose value when George returns, but he's a great streaming play until the Clippers get their star wing back.

Georges Niang, F - Philadelphia 76ers - 13% rostered

Niang is a really solid source of points and threes right now, even if he's not really going to give you much else. He's scored 15 or more points in four of the last five games and has made three or more treys in four of five as well. Niang is a key player off this Sixers bench and usually produces fairly efficiently as well.
