Dawn Tepper looks at fantasy basketball starting lineup updates and rotations for Week 3 of the 2023-24 NBA season. These players will start to see increases in minutes and playing time.

Collin Sexton - PG/SG, Utah Jazz

Collin Sexton is an amazing and athletic guard who can score, rebound, and play defense like it's nobody's business. In their blowout over Memphis last week, Sexton was moved out of his normal role as the second-unit point guard, allowing Jordan Clarkson to focus on floor general duties, which made a big difference with regard to Sexton's performance that night and could add to his minutes per game going forward.

Even though he's not the tallest player out there (listed as 6'3), Sexton makes up for it with his strong work ethic and aggressive playing style, which helps him dominate the boards. On the defensive end, Sexton is quick, has long arms, and can read the game well, which means he can guard multiple positions and be a real asset to his team.

Luguentz Dort - SG/SF, Oklahoma City Thunder

Lu Dort has been hot while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (knee) has been out of the Thunder's lineup. Dort is already seeing an increase in his usage rate, stepping up as one of the primary offensive options for the Oklahoma City Thunder. This not only means Dort will likely take more shots and have the ball in his hands more often, potentially boosting his points and assists, but he'll also be expected to log more minutes.

Increased playing time not only offers him more opportunities to rack up statistics across the board but also to exhibit his defensive talents through potentially higher steals and blocks, adding to his value in fantasy leagues.

Cole Anthony - PG, Orlando Magic

Cole Anthony has been performing exceptionally well for the Orlando Magic this season. He is currently averaging 15.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Moreover, he has been shooting a respectable 47.3% from the field and 38.9% from beyond the arc. With his efficient scoring and contributions across multiple categories, he's a great addition to any deep-league fantasy basketball team.

Dorian Finney-Smith, SF/SG, Brooklyn Nets

Season Average: 32:25 MPG | PRA: 14.0/5.6/1.6
Last Seven Games: 34:15 MPG | PRA: 14.3/5.0/1.3

Finney-Smith is a consistent player who has been averaging 14 points and over 5 rebounds per game. What's more impressive is that he's shooting at an incredible 44.2% from three-point range. Finney-Smith is also a versatile defender, averaging over one steal and 0.5 blocks per game. He's also highly durable, having missed just 13 games in the past four seasons.

For the past five seasons, Finney-Smith has averaged at least 10 points per game. He's also a reliable rebounder, with a minimum of four rebounds per game in the past four seasons. Furthermore, he's a career-high 48.9% three-point shooter, which makes him an invaluable asset in fantasy leagues that reward three-point shooting.

Eric Gordon, SG/SF, Phoenix Suns

Eric Gordon has been a valuable addition to the Phoenix Suns' team this season. His consistent scoring and shooting have played a major role in the team's recent success. In the last seven games, Gordon has averaged 15.3 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 rebounds. He has also been successful in making 36.4% of his three-point attempts during this period.

Gordon's proficiency in playmaking, even in the absence of two key players, has been impressive and unnerving for opponents when he enters the game from the bench. In addition to this, Gordon has shown his versatility by scoring on all three levels, which is a welcome sight for fantasy managers and a concerning prospect for their opponents, who previously considered him to be just a shooter.
