Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers - Top Waiver Wire Pickups and Starts for Week 13 (June 17 - June 23)

Andrew Vaughn - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Fantasy baseball hitter streamers and starts for Week 13 of the 2024 season. Thunder Dan Palyo analyzes the top batter streamers to pick up in Week 13.

Happy Father's Day to all the fantasy baseball-loving dads out there! I hope today that you are recognized for all your efforts to be a good dad which I have always considered to be the hardest job I have ever had - yet the most rewarding.

Our hitter streamers fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify hitters with good matchups and can be considered waiver wire streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions.

In this piece, every week I'll look to find hitters playing in most games and who have the most favorable matchups to help you plug those gaps and fill those holes in your roster. You can also check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamer content here at RotoBaller.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

What Teams Offer The Most Streaming Value?

This week, we have only three teams playing seven games between Monday, June 17, and Sunday, June 23:

  • Colorado (vs. LAD, vs. WAS)
  • Milwaukee (@LAA, vs. @SDP)
  • San Diego (@PHI, vs.MIL)

Just one team plays only FIVE games this week - the L.A. Angels.

Park Factors and Matchups: Upgrades and Downgrades

  • The Rockies play all seven games at home! -- UPGRADE
  • The Dodgers play four games in Coors! -- UPGRADE
  • Washington plays three games in Coors! -- UPGRADE
  • Oakland plays all six games at home. -- DOWNGRADE
  • Miami plays all six games at home. -- DOWNGRADE

Week 13 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers

I'll recommend only players who are 40% rostered or lower and all roster percentages are from Yahoo!

Masyn Winn, SS - STL (38%)

Winn is still rostered in less than 40% of leagues so I am going to feature him weekly until he's not!

His production is about as steady as you could hope for and has been now for the last month and a half. He's hitting .300 with seven runs scored over the last two weeks. He's the perfect pickup if you need runs, average, and an occasional steal.

Byron Buxton, OF - MIN (36%)

Buxton is notoriously streaky, but perhaps we have a chance to catch him on a good streak here as he is coming off a big week that saw him hit his fourth home run of the season, score four runs, and drive in six more.

If we get even 60% of the player that Buxton was at his peak a few years ago, we will take it at this point with the opportunity cost being little to nothing to acquire him off waivers.

Andrew Vaughn, 1B - CHW (33%)

Andrew Vaughn has five dingers over the last 10 days! That gives him nine on the season and has made him one of the more popular pick-ups over the last several days.

He's playing against RHP and LHP so we don't have to worry about a platoon situation anymore. He's a quality young hitter who might finally be ready to take off, so this is a solid streaming play or a potential buy low on a player who could help you for the rest of the season. Either way, Vaughn is definitely one of the best pickups this week. Add him in all formats and see if he can keep that power stroke going strong.

Andy Pages, OF - LAD (27%)

Did you catch in the intro that the Dodgers get four games in Coors this week? Not many Dodger bats are going to be available on the wire, but Pages is as he was dumped by a lot of teams several weeks ago as he was mired in a slump.

But Pages has turned things around and is hitting .325 with two home runs and eight runs scored over the last two weeks.

The Rockies have two lefties in their rotation and Pages continues to get the nod to play every day, so I'm all over him this week as he has an ideal schedule and matchup, and looks to be returning to his solid early season form.

Joc Pederson, OF - ARI (20%)

The artist formerly known as "Joc Jams" had two huge home runs this week and drove in eight runs for the Snakes. His rostership is slowly on the rise, but he's still widely available and even stole a base this week to remind us that, yes, he can do that too (Pederson now has four steals on the season).

Paul DeJong, SS - CHW (20%)

Paul is back on a homer streak once again, smashing six long balls in June and raising his average to .241 in the process. You know what you're getting with DeJong if you add him this week - a chance at some HR and RBI and you're risking your batting average in the process. But he's a streaky hitter and perhaps this streak isn't ready to end yet. I'd be willing to add him and find out.

Tyler Soderstrom, C/1B - OAK (19%)

Oakland has finally realized something - that Soderstrom is one of their best hitters and should be in the lineup against RHP every time, whether he's catching, at first base, or at DH.

He has a pure swing (as you can see in the video) and has been launching long balls lately. I am intrigued by his talent and wonder if he can keep up his recent production. He's widely available if you need offensive help and the catcher eligibility is really nice for daily leagues.

Charlie Blackmon, OF - COL (14%)

The ageless bearded wonder continues to be fantasy-relevant, even on one of the worst teams in baseball. Blackmon can still hit, as evidenced by his recent two-week tirade as he's posted a .367 average with a home run, two steals, and nine runs scored.

The Rockies will play all seven games this week at home, so they should be one team we give a hard look at this week with Blackmon being one of the obvious values out there.

Fantasy Baseball Deep League Hitter Streamers to Consider

Some widely available hitters (under 10% rostered) could be worth a look this week.

Good luck this week and choose those streaming options wisely!
