Daily Fantasy Leagues - FanDuel Lineup Picks (6/24)

P: Tim Hudson ($7,800): Although Kershaw is the top play on the board, his huge price tag means he has to have an absolute gem to meet value. Hudson, on the other hand, is a much cheaper option with nearly as much upside facing the hapless Padres. On the season, Hudson is sporting a great 2.39 ERA with seven wins. Though he has just 60 strikeouts on the year, he's posted 16 over his last three starts. That number should increase tonight against a Padres team that ranks dead last in nearly every offensive category in baseball.

Yadimolina201401C: Yadier Molina ($3,500): Molina is in play today in large part due to a righty-on-lefty matchup against Jorge De La Rosa and a game in Coors Field. He has picked up his game lately with hits in seven of his last eight games, though he does only have two extra base hits in that time. For the price , you will not find a better catcher on the board tonight.

1B: Anthony Rizzo ($3,600): Cubs fans have to be happy about the season Rizzo is having. Hitting .277 on the year with 15 homers and 42 RBI on the year puts him among the top 10 first basemen in all of baseball. He has also had a good amount of success against Homer Bailey in his career, having gone 4-for-13 with six walks. With the way Bailey has struggled this year, you could make an argument that a lot of Cubs bats are in play today.

2B: Josh Harrison ($2,700): Like most nights, 2B is fairly weak tonight, so I am looking to save money here. Harrison has been solid taking over for Neil Walker at 2B and at the top of the Pirates lineup. Over his past eight games he has four multi-hit performances and only has one game in that stretch with negative fantasy points. Pittsburgh has slowly been working their way up the runs scored list, but more impressively they are third in OBP this year, which all starts with the speedy Harrison.

SS: Troy Tulowitzki ($4,900): Back to the well again, Tulo at home is still hitting an insane .475 and showing no signs of slowing down. He has four three-hit games in the past two weeks,m so he should be a great play tonight. If you want to be a contrarian, you can argue that he is 0-for-3 with three strikeouts against Shelby Miller in his career, but it is safe to assume those numbers will improve after tonight.

3B: Carlos Santana ($3,600): Both 3B options for the Indians should be in play tonight, but we will focus on the switch- (and hot-) hitting Santana as the pick tonight. He has hits in eight of his last nine games, and until Sunday he had a streak of five straight games with a run scored. Also prior to Sunday, Santana had a streak of eight straight games with at least 3.5 fantasy points.   Don’t be surprised if Santana adds to his 11 homers on the season in this one.

OF: Ichiro Suzuki ($2,200): Your BvP special of the day is Ichiro against Mark Buehrle. In his career, he is 24-for-57 with just three strikeouts against the Toronto hurler. He is no longer the threat he used to be, with just four extra base hits on the year, but if you are looking to fit in some other high-priced options, the bargain-priced Ichiro can not only provide cap relief, but also should give some solid production.
