Fantasy Baseball Daily League Analysis (June 15, 2013)

Click here to read the best fantasy baseball daily league sit-start analysis on choosing your salary cap team and setting your lineup for June 15, 2013.

My Top 3 Starting Pitchers

David Phelps- He is a very good value play at 5500. The xFIP is very good at 3.88 and good K% at 24.2%. While the Angels are not an ideal match up. All you are look for is around 10 points at that price.

Lance Lynn- An obvious play as he faces the light hitting Miami Marlins. The late games offer much better SP options than the late afternoon at least in terms of mid priced starters. His xFIP is 3.68 and a healthy K% at around 25%.

John Danks-We all saw what Chris Sale did to the Astros and he still was unable to pick up the W.  Danks pitched a gem his last time out. As long as he keeps the change up down, he will have success vs this Astros team.

Catchers

JP Arencibia- I mentioned him yesterday and another good matchup vs Lindblom today. Boom or bust pick but very affordable at 2600

Miguel Montero-6-18 with 2 homers and 3 doubles. Marquis xFIP is in the high 4's so he is bound to get lit up here shortly.

First Baseman

David Ortiz-Freddy can make teams look foolish one game and the next game he leaves those junkballs high in the zone. Ortiz is 13-41 with 2 homers and 5 doubles off Sweaty Freddy

Adrian Gonzalez- Mid priced at 3500 and I have never heard of Brandon Cumpton of the Pirates. It could be a good day to start Puig as well

Second Baseman

Jurickson Profar- I can see this Jays/Rangers game be high scoring. Dickey is unpredictable and Lindblom is not very impressive. Profar is another value play priced under 3k

Rickie Weeks- A victim of bad luck earlier in the year as he was hitting line drives right at people. 11-24 with 2 homers of Bailey

Update: Weeks is not in today's lineup. Josh Rutledge is another option to consider, filling in for an injured Tulo. He had a nice game last night in his first game since being recalled, and was mashing in AAA.

Third Baseman

Manny Machado- Seems underpriced at 3200 and Lackey is about average

Evan Longoria-11-36 with a homer and 5 doubles off Guthrie

Shortstop

Jimmy Rollins- Value play at Coors

Jhonny Peralta-Value at that price and Deduno is a very mediocre SP

Outfielders

Nick Markakis-15-42 against Lackey

Matt Joyce-10-27 vs Guthrie. It seems like this guy hits a bomb every day.

Jay Bruce-13-31 with 2 homers off Gallardo

Value Plays: Juan Pierre, Tyler Colvin, Alex Gordon, Ben Revere

================

As always, remember to check your daily lineups before they lock and make sure you are doing your own research, too, for optimal performance! The most successful daily leaguers are grinders who are constantly tweaking their lineups as the day goes on and fantasy news gets released. Good luck today, RotoBallers!
