Fantasy Aces DFS Advice: Week 8 NFL - Daily Fantasy Football Picks

Hey there RotoBallers! In this article I will be taking a look at some of my favorite FantasyAces DFS lineups plays for Week 8 of the NFL slate.

These picks are based on a multitude of factors including matchup, talent, recent performance, and pricing on Fantasy Aces. Let's get to the picks!

Editor's Note: New users that sign up on FantasyAces, make a $20 deposit, and enter any game will receive our full season NFL (or NBA) Premium Pass for free, a $59.99 value. Quarterback Plays for Fantasy Aces

Aaron Rodgers (@ ATL, $7,550)

With the Packers shifting to a pass-heavy approach following the injury to Eddie Lacy, Rodgers is ready to reclaim his spot as the QB1 in fantasy. Rodgers has reached at least 42 pass attempts in three straight games now, which coincides with the game Lacy got injured during. With that kind of volume, expect Rodgers to continue to post gaudy stat lines, especially in a favorable matchup against the Falcons in Week 8. Atlanta's pass defense is ranked just 24th in the league in DVOA according to Football Outsiders.

Jameis Winston (vs. OAK, $6,550)

Winston has had an up-and-down second season, but he has proven to be a fantastic quarterback play against weak defenses. In games against the struggling pass defenses of the Falcons, Rams, and 49ers, Winston has a 10:3 touchdown to interception ratio. The Raiders rank just 26th in pass defense DVOA and are last in the league with just seven sacks. With Winston not having to worry about much of a pass rush and the Raiders offense more than capable of keeping the pressure on Tampa Bay, Winston should have to throw often in this game.

Running Back Plays for Fantasy Aces

Devonta Freeman (vs. GB, $5,000)

Freeman is one of the top running backs on the slate this weekend, yet he comes in much cheaper than the David Johnsons, Ezekiel Elliots, and DeMarco Murrays of the world. With Tevin Coleman nursing a hamstring strain likely to keep him off the field against Green Bay, Freeman should be locked into an every-down role. Freeman occupied a similar role in 2015 when he was one of the top fantasy running backs. The Packers appear to have a tough run defense, but they did cough up 157 yards to Ezekiel Elliot two weeks ago. Before that, Green Bay hadn't really faced many teams with good running games, so don't let the matchup scare you off of Freeman.

Devontae Booker (vs. SD, $3,900)

With C.J. Anderson sidelined for at least a couple weeks, Booker instantly becomes a top running back play on the slate with his combination of opportunity and low pricing. He should see all the carries he can handle for the run-first Broncos with untested Kapri Bibbs operating as Booker's backup. In addition to the fantastic blend of opportunity and low-pricing, the Chargers haven't been great against the run this season. Booker should be in all cash game lineups and his fair share of tournament lineups as well.

Wide Receiver Plays for Fantasy Aces

Mike Evans (vs. OAK, $5,650)

Evans was chalky last week, but it didn't matter as he came through against the 49ers in a prime matchup. The big wide receiver pulled in eight catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns while seeing 13 targets come his way. Evans remains one of the heaviest targeted receivers in football and that should remain the case in Week 8 against Oakland. The Raiders' secondary has played better in recent weeks, but we are still looking at a pass defense that is bleeding yards to opposing receivers and is ranked just 26th in DVOA according to Football Outsiders. Evans is as safe of a bet for weekly touchdowns as anyone in the game right now.

Ty Montgomery (@ ATL, $4,400)

Both Montgomery and teammate Randall Cobb are great plays against Atlanta, but Montgomery's price difference ($850 cheaper than Cobb) gives him the nod here. Montgomery has been used as Green Bay's de facto running back over the past two weeks, racking up 12 carries while logging 20 catches as well. There's reason to expect the Packers to continue using Montgomery out of the backfield as their offense has been looking better than it had for over a season in its current configuration. With Jordy Nelson expected to draw shadow coverage from lockdown corner Desmond Trufant, both Cobb and Montgomery are solid plays. An Aaron Rodgers/Montgomery/Cobb stack on Aces is a solid start to a tournament lineup in what should be a fast-paced, high-scoring game.

Tight End Play for Fantasy Aces

Jimmy Graham (@ NO, $5,150)

Even if you don't believe in #revengegame narratives, Graham sets up as a great play as he heads back to New Orleans for the first time since the Saints sent him to Seattle two offseasons ago. Graham has emerged as Russell Wilson's favorite target for the Seahawks, ranking second behind Doug Baldwin in targets this season. If you look at Week 3 and beyond, Graham is out targeting Baldwin 36-to-29. The Saints have struggled to limit opposing tight ends this season, ranking 26th in DVOA against the position in 2016.

Defense/Special Teams Play for Fantasy Aces

Minnesota Vikings (@ CHI, $3,400)

The Vikings have been one of the top defensive units in the league this season and there's no reason to expect that to change against the Bears in Week 8. Chicago will be getting Jay Cutler back, which raises the chances of the Vikings racking up interceptions. Cutler has been known to throw his fair share of picks over his career. The Bears have an implied point total of just 17.5 heading into Monday night and could find it tough to move the ball against Minnesota.
